we picked out tuxedos today!! it was so fun. we went to GINOS in Farmingdale right next to our limo place, All Star. What a great company to work with--we were there for literally 3 hours just talking to guy and FH trying on all different types!! he looked sooo handsome!! I got such a weird feeling when he tried on the tuxes--sooo excited!!


how are you guys running your envelopes through the printer? we can't get the lines to line correctly and i do not want to wreck a lot of envelopes!! we are sending ours out 8/30 or 31ish i don't want them sitting in mailboxes over labor day weekend!

I am having the envelopes printed by the same person that is doing our invitations! It is much less hassle then doing them yourself, you can find someone to do them as low as .75 cents an envelope.

so I guess the beginning of Sept is good to send out the invites...

I am going to order our favors this week... we are getting mini wine bottles and I have a $20 off coupon that expires next weekend...

We donated money to the american cancer society and we are putting the scrolls that they gave us out for the guests as the favor....It means alot to us and will to our family!

I know what you mean,,,there is something that you can buy that makes the printing to be smudge free,,,try a couple on your own and see how they come out as a test try, also you can always take them to Kinkos and have them printed there as long as you have the addresses saved to a disk. That should be really inexpensive...Let me know how it works out, there are also programs that they sell in Staples and places like that.

On another note, my mom finally found her dress and ordered it today,,,i am so excited....

Hey everybody! We also ordered the tuxes today, and finished registering at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They were very nice there--it was a much better experience than Macy's. Anyway, I am posting the pic of FH in his tux (he refuses to smile for my pics anymore; I think he is sick of me taking pictures of everything wedding-related that we do ). I am afraid that the ivory tie won't show up in pics against the ivory shirt--what do you all think? What color tie are the FHs wearing?

I thought the same thing, but when my FH tried it on yesterday, you can definetely tell. I took a picture of him with my cell phone and you could even tell it was different color and that is just from a camera phone! I LOVE the ivory-especially for our time of year!

My FH is wearing a white shirt with an ivory vest, that is what they told him to wear at Thomas Miller, they said that is the way to go!

I must be the odd one out My FI will be wearing the traditional bow tie tux black and his GM will be wearing Burgundy. I love the traditional tux and it goes more with our theme then ivory.

Allison, you are not the only odd one out. My FH will be wearing a black tux with silver vest and tie and the BM/GM will be wearing black tuxes with burgundy vests and ties. Regular ties though -- not bow ties.

Haivng my first favor get together on Thursday. Hoping to knock them out. Next week we're going to start printing and addressing the envelopes.

Is it November yet!

I am going Friday. It takes a week or so to get back and they have to be out in a month

I just finished putting stamps on the response cards and I finished cutting up the leaves for the tables. It was a pretty productive night

Hey girls: We just got back we picked up our invitations today and the envelopes they look great, i am so excited. I was actually talking to a couple of my friends today and they said that people are sending the invites out 6-8 weeks in advance so i think we will send them out the second week in August we have everything set already so why not. What are everyones elses views, i think that it is a good idea. I will scan then and show everyone tomorrow....
