We're not registering for China or good silver. My parents have it, and never used it. I don't think we will even have room for it all in our condo--it's not like we have a formal dining room with a China cabinet like my parents do. We decided to go with nicer every day stuff since that is what we will be using most often. And my MOH is head of advertising for KitchenAid so she giving us all KitchenAid stuff as gifts!

Jen- Our china looks very similar. The teacup is the most different. Good taste!

We registered for Fine China and an everyday set. I already have my sterling but we registered for everyday silverware. We are starting the Christmas at our house tradition this year so I need the China

so I don't know what to do about the China now... originally FH and I weren't going to get it b/c we thought we wouldn't use it...my parents also have some and never use it...
maybe I could just register for really nice everyday stuff...

Janine -- you should do what you feel is best.I feel its the one and only time you'll ever get it, because later in life you won't buy it for yourself.
In my family, good china is used when hosting all the major holidays, so it goes to good use. I also have my Mother's lenox set which is a different pattern.

the guy at BBB told us the samething... he said that now is the only time that you will really purchase china...so.... what is everyone buying for their FH for the day of the wedding???

I already know what Tim got me. When we were down in the Caribbean in April he bought me a pave diamond bracelet. I love it. I even have a picture of it so I can try and get coordinating jewelry for that day.I'm probably getting him a really good telescope. It's so much harder to buy for the guys. They have it easy, they can always buy us jewelry!

Making progress...I got the menu choices for the rehearsal dinner.
Today I ordered what I think will be my necklace and earrings for the wedding from Home Shopping Network.
I also ordered a custom wax seal for our invitations.
On Tuesday we have an appointment to meet with Sir Oliver Limos.
And I have plans for July 8th to go to Miriam's Corsets in East Meadow, and Barron's at Tri-County for Veil & Headpiece.
Now if I could just stop procrastinating with wrapping the favors, I'll be in good shape!

pretty bracelet!!Fh already knows what he is getting me and I have no idea what to get him (or how much to spend...) I know I have heard a lot of girls give nice watches...
guys are hard to shop for... I feel like whenever its time for me to buy FH a gift for a birthday or anniversary I am always asking myself what to get him...
girls are soooo easy to shop for...

I ordered my favors early because I got the candleholders from LTD Commodities which are notorious for taking forever to ship or backorder issues. It was only $7.95 for the set of 5, so I ordered enough for every couple to get 1 (which ever size they want from the table). The candles I actually got on clearence from BBB for only $0.37. I'm using a silver chiffon bag which is only $0.79 each, and then the ribbon comes to about $0.50 a bow. So each favor totals out to be about $3.25 each.Here's a picture, but I'm using the Yankee Candle in the burgundy color. I'm wrapping the silver chiffon bag over the cup part with the gathering facing down, and then tied with a burgundy chiffon ribbon/bow.
I have 120 to do, and I plan to have them done by September.

Your makeup looks awesome. And your hair got so long compared to the picture in your LIW ID.Did Dina do regular makeup or airbrush?

thanks girls...!! It was regular foundation... I do not know if Dina airbrushes...I had another hair & make up trial tonight w/ Pauline from Special Touch... Look how long my hair looks now...
