I think your FMIL is crazy. Why would she say it doesn't look like a wedding dress?The dress is beautiful and I like it because its different. Once she sees it fitted with your hair and makeup done plus your veil...she'll be sorry she ever said anything.
I don't think you should change a thing!

I think your dress is very pretty but, you need to love it! Do what makes you happy. I'm so afaid I'm not going to like my dress anymore when it come's in.Amy- yes we are getting 2 bands ( I am anyway). There was a diamond band that my FH liked and I may supprise him with it, not sure.

I just finished printing out my directions for the church. Thank God!!! I am have been putting this off but now it is over with!! Now I have to finish the programs and bring them to the print shop

I know mine is sometime in September! My FMIL is planning it, but she asked when my MOH will be back in NY (she moved to work in Chicago), and she called my MOH to ask when she will be back in NY next (which will be in Sept). I can't wait!
We still have to finish registering--we started at Macy's, which was a pain (scanner often didn't work, checking it online many of the items must be purchased in store...). Where did you all register? We are doing Bed Bath and Beyond and Macy's, maybe Fortunoff's.

I don't have a clue and I'm happy about that. Hopefully it will be a surprise. But my guess its not for another couple months, so who knows what will happen between then and now.

We originally planned Fortunoff's and BB&B. But then one Aunt complained that BB&B doesn't have my china and she isn't near Fortunoff so I ended up registered at Macy's for some things -- like my china, etc. I was really happy with the service and selection at BB&B and Fortunoff though. We still need to go back and register for more things.

ahh!! I am not sure when my shower is. my mom wont' tell my fh because she thinks he will tell me! LOL I have a feeling that something is up. my mom said she wasn't goign to go crazy trying to surprise me, but i think she is! LOL I haven't picked up on anything yet--just like 2 little hints here or there. my cousin almost spilled the beans the other day but caught herself! DARN! LOLI Want to be surprised, but i don't lol 
does that make sense? I want to just have an outfit in the trunk of my car in case i am really caught off guard! lol We ordered the invitations last night! i posted them on the BHB sites & we booked our jet blue flights for our honeymoon--i've heard wonderful things about them. and (drum roll please) WE FOUND AN APARTMENT
yeah!!!!! It's PERFECT, we are soooooooooo happy!!! I'm soooooooo excited!! YAHOO!! i can't wait for november!! It's right around the corner girls!!

I don't know when my shower is but my mom told me I am having two...(she cannot keep a secret)this is b/c FH's family is from upstate and so it the MOH, so she's planning one up there
and then the rest of my bridal party is having one on LI
I guess with the distance and all it would have been hard to keep a secret....

what do you girls register for at a department store that you cannot get at BBB?

China, Crystal, vases, bowls, etc. Not all BBBs sell that stuff in the store and I found their selection very limiting in comparison to Fortunoff. I'm also registered at Macy's for some things in that department because I have one Aunt who complained that she's not near Fortunoff.

Thanks Amy... FH and I were only going to register at BBB but I guess we should pick another store as well...Is everyone registering for China?
ETA: I rebooked my make-up and hair trial w/ Pauline this friday...
I also booked a makeup trial w/ Dina from Beautiful Possibilities on thursday... I got her info from this site... I guess she's kind of new so I wanted to know if you girls have heard anything about her? thanks...
