Our invites took 2 weeks. We're sending them out the end of Aug w/an RSVP date of 10/1. Don't worry you'll be fine. OMG 4 months to go.

I know! I kept thinking it was 5 mos (i guess figuring I had all of november) and then last night it hit me and I started freaking out...So much left to do!

My mom is so cute, she keeps saying 'We really should start thinking about....or ya know what would be great to get done now....lol' hahaha i'm just like 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah i know, that's a good idea mom!' after a year and a half of planning, I'M DONE! hahahah i can't believe how close it is!

our invites are not in yet but I am thinking they should be soon...
I think the place told us 6-8 weeks
our RSVP is also october 1st (FH & I 5 yr dating anniversary...)

Our RSVP date is October 4th. Because Labor Day is late this year, I think I'm mailing our invites out on September 1st. That should actually get most of them before the holiday weekend.

Janine, that's cute that your RSVP date is your dating anniversary. Our wedding date is our 3 year dating anniversary.

My MOH is getting married in March, and her RSVP date is February 14th. I thought that was cute too.

Are any of you guys worried about all the talk about terrorist attacks around our wedding I am so freaked out. My rehearsal is Election Day. I am so nervous

We picked up my wedding band today and it looks perfect. I never wanted to take it off. I was pretending that I was fixing my hair in the mirror to see how it looked

Anyone feel crazy yet? I don't. I know it is coming though. Next month I think times will get very busy

congrats on the wedding band.....Yes, I am starting to stress a bit..scrambling to get things done. Time to stop procratinating.

Congrats on the Wedding Bands! I'm expecting a call any day on ours.

I'm feeling a little crazy. I'm picking up my invitations tonight and I feel the pressure of getting those done.

I'm still procrastinating on wrapping my favors too!

I'm starting to feel crazy! Starting to snap at FH all the time. Feel kind of bad about that, but it is all starting to get to me! But, even though I was sick last weekend I ordered the invites! They should be in in a week, which I am excited about. When is everyone starting fittings? Did everyone get tuxes yet? We still have to do that too. And get wedding bands.

I made my first fitting appointment for Tuesday, September 7th -- day after Labor Day.

I think FH and I are going to research the tuxes this week or next. Once we decide on color and vest pattern, he'll be responsible for getting the guys there, etc.

One more thing, is anyone else hoping to have a ceremony outside? I am really hoping for an unseasonably warm November!

We decided early on that we'd just have our ceremony inside. FH and I didn't want to have two plans and then have to make a decision that morning.

However, I will tell you that my cousin got married on the same weekend in November as us...her date was 11/3 -- but it was the 'first' weekend of November 2001.

She had a light drizzle in the morning, but the sun was out by the end of her ceremony in the afternoon. In fact, part of her cocktail hour was outdoors, and it was actually so warm that people were taking off their jackets, etc.

On our wedding day, my grandparents will be celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary!! We are so excited to be getting married the same day as them--AND since I got engaged, my grandma has been telling me almost everyday that is was 75 and soooo humid on their day!! I'll take the 75, but no humidity-makes for bad hair day! LOL

allison~ what attacks did you hear about???

Tim and I got our wedding bands too... so exciting... I had my band made to match my e-ring since it didnt have a matching band... I tried it on and LOVED the way to 2 rings looked next to each other...!!!

I think my next planning is to order favors...

oh---> allison...what happened with hair/make up trial???? you know Pauline finally called me last week and left a message to say she's going away...

Janine: I can't believe that. Did you have to pay for the trial? I have a trial on Sunday with Elena and on the 7th of August with Oksana and Jenn. This is getting so expensive. I am so annoyed because I thought I had this part all finished.

On CNN they said they are afraid of a train attack like in Madrid around Election Day. They also said that if something does happen around that day they will postpone election day. I told everyone that they better not go anywhere near the city that whole week. I have to talk to my FFIL and tell him not to send FI in there. Everytime I think about it I freak out

yes allison I had to pay for Pauline's trial but thats all over and done with now...
I was also getting frustrated with all the trials I had to pay for but everything worked out... Oksana and Jenn are awesome and I am so happy...
make sure you post pics from your trials...
I didn't even hear of the attacks...but I am not going to worry about it for now...

right now I am stressing over my guest list...FH and I have a list of 258 and thats WITH cutting..... ahhh.... what % on average says no????? I am afraid my room is too small...

I was told that 30% say no. We are at 310 people. Somehow it keeps getting bigger. While my FFIL was in Scotland the other day he invited some relatives to come to the wedding. We were not going to. When his family was leaving they said see ya at the wedding That's 6 more people Maybe they will decide not to come. I don't even think I have enough invites!
