Really??? Ok because my guest list is at about 245, and i know everyone is not going to come... but the FH was telling me they wouldnt put more then 160 in there!

Anything i should know being a new Fox Hollow lady??? I am speaking with PWP tonight. Anything i should ask?
Thanks ladies!

If you're inviting 245, they pretty much should have MADE you book the Garden Terrace room. That's the only room that could hold that many people.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

They told me I had to Guarantee 200 for that room... And with 245 thats a tough call to do, no? I also have an issue with 40% of my guest list are OOT. I live in Texas now and i have no idea who is actually going to travel to NY on Memorial Day Weekend. But from our gut, and knowing the people we invited, we do not see alot of them declining.

I Dont know what to do

That's tough bc there is such a large amount of people between the maximum capacity of the Briar Fox room and the amount of people you're inviting. I mean, if you're inviting 245 and say 190 come, they won't all fit in the Briar Fox room. This is something that I would ask about.

I booked the garden terrace room on 6/12/10 and I only have to have a minimum on 175 ppl.... you should try to talk to them...

Yeah, I had my wedding in the Garden Terrace room on a Saturday night and I had to guarantee 190. I know the minimum in that room is different for day weddings though.

Talk to someone there. I'm sure they will understand the predictament.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

they say 20% don't show on average, That would be 196 if you invited 245 people. paying for the extra 4 'ghost' people to make 200 may be worth it!

We originally ran into a similar problem when we were looking at halls and decided to cut the guest list drastically and now only inviting 170 into that room instead of the 210 we originally planned. I have a gut feeling less than 20% will decline as they are almost all very good friends and family. Also since we had a long engagement almost everyone knows the date all ready so they've 'saved' it.

Our difference isn't s big as yours, but over all it's up to you. I would def ask for the bigger room if I was in your shoes. Or see if the room isn't booked by the week of your wedding if you can make a decision then, it's not like they set up days in advance...

I'm sorry, i can't really help. Hope everything falls into place!

True. She can even use those 4 people as vendors. I mean, they would be full price instead of 1/3 off but, it's better than stressing out about that room.

Well, that's their MO honestly. It's their job to book weddings. But, they should also answer any questions that you have up until your wedding day. That's what they're there for.

If you feel really uncomfortable with this person, ask to speak to someone else.

I don't know if you mentioned who you signed the contract with, but talk to him/her 1st. The least he can do is see if that room has been booked yet for the day. if you aren't satisfied with his help I would suggest seeing if you can talk to Dave Ghering?? spelling is off.. He's the head guy who does the bookings so I assume he should be able to help.

I would see if you could get the minimum down fopr the garden terrace room -- My reception was in the Briar Fox -- we had 153 people (some were children) but I don't see more than 165 comfortablly in there.... if alot of your guest show up, you will def. be over max in the Briar Fox....

It's true...but I think all places are going to be like that..its a business to get the weddings booked, but don't worry...on your wedding day, your Maitre'd and Bridal attendant will make you feel like a QUEEN....and they will treat your guests like gold!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I am really freaking about the room and the amount of guests i have... I dont know why Ken would tell me that i can Fit 175 comfortably in the Briar Fox room, and 200 uncomfortable.

I have already sliced and diced my list to bare minimum invited 230 and even that will leave me with about 184 at a 20% negative.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Ladies,

Does anyone have a direct number for Richard (the florist from PWP). I've called the main PWP number a few times over the last few days and no one has picked up. Left 2 messages as well and no call back.

Thanks!

if you are really THAT worried.. this may ease your mind... if you use the oblong tables.. the max at those i believe is 14 or 16 people... if you had 14 tables.. of 14 people each - it would be 196 (plus you and your hubby) ----
if you had 16 people at each -it would be 224 (plus you and your hubby) ---
So, theoretically , you WOULD all fit...
