All I can picture is the things they put on horses so that they cant see on either side of themsleves just front.

Misty, nothing is wrong with tradition and luckily, because I saw the guy's kippa and hat, I wasn't offended.

However, in the case of the person wearing a veil ==> that presents a danger to other drivers and pedestrians.

How far are you willing to go for religous tolerance and when does that become a major inconvenience/threat to others?

Alina, I never said I agreed/disagreed with the veil issue..that wasn't my point. I was a bit put off by the word 'Jew' being thrown around like a rag doll.

Yabbo i never said they were any of the above. I was saying how because they dont speak english, mail gets ruined b/c the mailman accidently puts mail into their mailbox and they automatically assume its theirs, open it, see its not theirs and just toss it on the floor.

Melissa, if the mail is put into the wrong box, its not the fault of your neighbors. Frankly, more often than not, I open all mail in my box without looking at the name, and only if I see that the letter inside is for someone else, would I put it back out. And guess where it would be -> On the floor, b/c I don't know who my neighbors are nor do I know their names.

Wack!!!! I KNOW that you are not mean! My comments are reactionary. Whenever someone uses the word 'jew' in the context it was written above, it makes my skin crawl. For the most part, people don't realize how easily it can come off as offensive.

Do I believe that man was right for doing what he did? Absolutely not. But, I will not fault a whole group of people for it because it is what they believe in. That's all. As unreasonable as it may sound, that is the life they choose to lead, period.

I have had personal legal documets ripped open and tossed like garbage, a thank you card never received, bills opened, and various other things. Another person's medical insurance information was ripped up and thrown around.

I didn't know 'Jew' was derrogatory, I have heard my Jewish friends say that or ask that about others. Heck even Adam Sandler says it in his Hanukah song! I will be mindful now....
