Hello! Question! The ceremony decor that's included when using their chapel- the flowers down the aisle/tulle/flowers on the canopy over arch- do you know if we get a credit if we don't use those decorations? Has anyone decided not to use them? Thanks!
They will not give you any credit for not using their decorations. Though with that said, they are somewhat flexible about it.
When I first inquired about this they told me I could speak to Richard (Florist from PWP) directly. I called him and asked not to include any roses for the ceremony flowers (not a fan of roses). He was able to accomodate me (though later I ended up upgrading the ceremony decor and paying extra for it). As long as its something reasonable and you don't expect for them to give you a really expensive flower (say some really uncommon orchid) they can help you out at no additional cost. Getting another color of flowers is possible too again within reason (so I was told). Definitely get in touch with Richard and discuss. Just an FYI they use pretty nice and expensive flowers for the ceremony including lillies, orchids and hydrengeas.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread
Hello ladies.I am a MRS. now ;)
So much to do prior to departing to the honeymoon and so little time, but of course I had to take a minute to tell you all about just how amazing everything was.
The day went off without a glitch (for the most part). FOX HOLLOW exceeded all of my expectations. Everything from start to finish was absolutely TOP NOTCH. From the food, to the service (Eric was an outstanding matre d' / my bridal attendant Alexandra was great as well) and to the tiniest details it was all AMAZING.
I'll write a detailed review of all the Vendors I used once I return from the honeymoon.
Good luck to all the upcoming brides!

About how many people are you planning to have?
When we went to look at the room there was a wedding ending so we could only really look in from the door. Does it seem bigger once you actually walk into it?

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread
Does anyone know if they add the add the tax on BEFORE or AFTER the 20% gratuity? This makes about a $1000 difference for me, so I want to just make sure I'm getting my budget right.P.S. - Booked the WGP a few days ago! Yay! 11/13/10

I have the same question!
Also, do they charge additional tax and gratuity on top of the fee for having the ceremony there?

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread
I'm pretty sure the tax is after the gratiuty. This blows big time. There is some kind of loop hole in the way they list it. It's not really a tip so they can tax it.I'm not sure about ceremony fees.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread
I believe if they call it a 'service fee' they are able to tax it. If it is labeled as 'gratuity' I don't think they can.

I was going over my old notes and found this:
1.Q: Is the 20% gratuity added to the price before or after the tax? If it’s before, why do you charge tax on the gratuity? Who's services does the gratuity cover? Whose services aren't covered?
A: The 20% is a service charge. This does get added to the subtotal and then it does get taxed. The wording 'service charge' makes it taxable by the government, which is why in turn, we must tax you. This covers everyone from waiter to waitresses, bartenders, valet parking, bathroom attendants, and coat check. The only two people not included in this charge are your maitre'd and bridal attendant, who we let you take care of at your discretion the night of the party.
I still don't know about an additional 'service charge' and tax for having the ceremony on site.

I think I'll end up having around the same as you or a little less. I just hope there is enough room, I hate it when you go to weddings and you can barely walk or get out of your seat.
I'm sure it won't be a problem because I've never heard any one complain about it before.
