On invitation I am just putting
De Seversky Mansion
Old Westbury, NY

Seversky doesnt have an official address so the direction cards will provide them with the clear directions on how to get there.

Hi 2010 girls...

I wanted to tackle djs next and was wondering if any of you girls are doing the European style reception and what djs you are using?

I am curious on how they set up for dinner in one room and dancing in another? Did you get uplighting for both rooms?

Also, I would like strings for the ceremony...is that something I go through with the DJ or a seperate company???

I am lost...help

i'm using a band so i can't really help you, but i'm also doing european style. we're taking some of the band members and using them during dinner to play jazz. the other band members will be set up for the dancing portion and then they'll join together when start dancing.

for strings during the ceremony, we're using NY Ceremony Music.

We are having a European Style, with the CH on the left side of the mansion (the green room and the glass room...cant remember the official names of the rooms though!), then dinner in the ballroom, then back to the left side for dancing and shenanigans....the dj will be in the glass room (I think its called the terrace room?) and will not start til after dinner. We are having a string trio to play both during the CH and the dinner. We set that up through our DJ. Oh, and we are using DanceJock...they are great!

we did the same thing. Soooo annoyiing that Seversky doesnt have an address.... I am sooo nervous guests might not find it :(

I am a 2011 girl ... and I will say we saw a bunch of DJs. Out of them all we were most impressed with Bravura and FM. If you want any info let me know! We sort of know who we are going with but its down to the wire - EEK! ha ha

We added a salad course to our meal and also a raw bar

eta: and a half hour to the reception to make it a full 6 hours

How much do they run? She is going to send me a list but I really think I want to extend the wedding an additional hour. All depends on cost! I am having a traditional wedding
