The tasting is really, really nice. We took both sets of parents and it was such an enjoyable evening. When we went they had a seafood station set up with a server and then also brought out silver trays with about 8 different kinds of the appetizers. Then each couple received a salad, appetizer, and 3 dishes (one fish, meat, & chicken). After that was a mini dessert cafe. Soda, wine, & champagne were included. It was soooo much food!

Can't decide if I should go in November or closer to the date of the wedding....??

I might put down Black Tie, Black Tie Optional, Black Tie Invited, or nothing at all. What I really want is Black Tie - it's a saturday night and the place is so old world elegance, it's just so fitting! There are some people including some of my BMs that are COMPLETELY against it. They said that it's rude and inconsiderate for people to have black tie weddings. Me, my sister/moh and my mom all love black tie and I love going to black tie weddings! Gives me a chance to really dress it up.

I am sooooo with you on that!!!! That is why I am putting it down on my invitation, cause this place is soooooooooooo classy. And actually I read a lot of history about Seversky, they often had these bawl parties back then in our RH!!!

I should get to reading some history on it too! I only read it from the book they gave us. It's so cool that it was a DuPont mansion. I'm actually saying that more often to people when they ask me where the wedding is because no one understands when I say De Seversky. It's like a whole long explanation. But I like the surprise factor since most people won't know what to expect when they drive up that breathtaking row of trees. and what HOT photos of all the gorgeous guests in gowns and tuxes with that in the background.


completely change of topic: what's everyone doing for rehearsal? I realized I never asked if we can do a rehearsal the day before. If I don't want a rehearsal the day before, do you know if Melissa or the maitre'd will help direct us down the aisle the day of?

I was told that they do a quick 15-20 minute rehearsal the day of (without the bride). I think this is pretty common when you get married at the RH

I am working with eric and discussed this with him some time ago
he said that we could do a rehersal day of pending what was going on at the house....so fingers crossed

I also thought of doing a fan for the ceremony. It would be a paddle fan or ones that fan out with the names of the bridal party on it. Haven't decided because if it rains, then the paddle fan is pointless!

I found a pic of the ceremony around the same time of year and there is some shade so the guests won't be scorching at least... I hope.
