Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

How's everyone doing? I have some news and a question. I called up the swan club and asked my bm how much would it cost to have a chocolate fountain during my reception. He told me a whopping.....700 Dollars For an hour of chocolate Is anyone else getting a chocolate fountain from them? If not, are we allowed to have someone else bring in a chocolate fountain???

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

You would think that they would give you a better price on this being that their cakes stink!

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

I don't know if they will give you a better price, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Are you going to get your cake from another baker?? I think I might. I wonder if they have a cake cutting fee???

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Why dont they bring in a new baker who can actually make normal looking cakes. Their cakes are horrendous looking. I am hoping maybe the baker will quit by September!

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Don't we all wish!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Bm told me that they don't charge a cake cutting fee if you bring in an outside cake. I wonder if they know that their cakes look horrid??? I really don't want to spend extra money on a cake. Has anyone ever mentioned this to them? Maybe they should work out an agreement with a bakery and have them make the cakes.

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Just a heads up to my fellow Swannies, I was recently in one of the bridal suites at the Swan Club and it reeked of stale smoke.

I hope you dont plan to spend a lot of time in there because its pretty small in there and smells old and rancid.

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Why am I starting to get depressed about the Swan Club now??? Please tell me that they are renovating soon and getting a new pastry chef!!!! I got the garden room which is not as pretty as the rooms upstairs but sold me because it's not upstairs with the rest of the rooms and has it's own separate bathroom. But the bathroom can use some type of renovation!!! As far as the bridal suite, I saw the one by the stairs and it didn't smell. I would be so embarrassed if my Bridesmaids went into a suite with me that smelled.

Don't be! When I first booked the Swan Club, it looked a little faded to me as well, but having gone there recently they have changed alot of things, the patio's in the back have been cleaned up and re done, the ceremony pavillon has been totally re-done, I mean they used to have astro turf! lol They are making improvements all the time, and will continue to do so, thanks to new ownership, trust me I have my issues with them too, and about the cake, let's wait and see if they get someone new, I think they have gotten enough complaints lol

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Last night I had a dream that I went to vist The Swan Club and that they were in the middle of renovations, and it looked gorgous. There were hardwood floors throughout the reception halls, and the bathrooms were all redone. If only this were true.LOL
