I don't know. I read an article about the Swan club in a wedding newspaper. They raved about their cake and their chefs.

The rooms upstairs are beautiful. I just would like for them to redo the garden room and the bathroom downstairs. As I was re-reading our thread, I began to feel bad. I don't want to keep dwelling on the negatives. I obviously choose the place because out of all the places I went to found The Swan Club to be the one. HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Girls..

I orginally booked the Swan Club in March of 2004, and of course coming on here and seeing everyone's weddings, how beautiful they all are, makes you doubt your choices or makes you want something different all of a sudden.

Remember the reasons you choose the Swan Club, for me it was it's landscaping, the water views, the food, the kindness of the staff.

Actually attending a wedding there, even with it's 'bumps', I was totally happy with my choice, remember until you see it the day of, with all your flowers, all your personal touches, filled with family and friends your going to fret and worry about 'did I make the right choice?'

It's natural!!! You should worry and fret, because that just shows you how important your day is to you!!

I am not trying to get on a soapbox here, I just hate seeing you all worry so much! When you worry or think negative thoughts, it just weighs you down, focus on why you fell in love with the Swan Club and trust that they will come through with the day of your dreams!!!

Why am I starting to get depressed about the Swan Club now??? Please tell me that they are renovating soon and getting a new pastry chef!!!! I got the garden room which is not as pretty as the rooms upstairs but sold me because it's not upstairs with the rest of the rooms and has it's own separate bathroom. But the bathroom can use some type of renovation!!! As far as the bridal suite, I saw the one by the stairs and it didn't smell. I would be so embarrassed if my Bridesmaids went into a suite with me that smelled.

Don't be! When I first booked the Swan Club, it looked a little faded to me as well, but having gone there recently they have changed alot of things, the patio's in the back have been cleaned up and re done, the ceremony pavillon has been totally re-done, I mean they used to have astro turf! lol They are making improvements all the time, and will continue to do so, thanks to new ownership, trust me I have my issues with them too, and about the cake, let's wait and see if they get someone new, I think they have gotten enough complaints lol

I'm hanging in.. holiday season is upon me and I'm losing my mind, since I am in charge of the holidays in my family, organizing everyone and all the festivities..lol

I still have alot to do but my list is getting smaller..YAY!!

It's so nice to you gals chatting again . There is a swan club bride getting married soon. I hope everything goes well.

Jen, glad that your list is getting smaller!!! As for me everything is pretty much the same. Which is a good thing Have a great Thanksgiving!!! It's our last thanksgiving as single women. God willing we'll have our first next thanksgiving next year as married women

The Swan Club exeeded our expectations! they went over and above in every way. They had 2 BM's and a Maitre D working our small wedding. We really lucked out that our wedding was the only event taking place at the Swan Club that night!

My advice is this. if you can, make sure you leave yourself PLENTY of time for pictures. there are no do-overs for any wedding and you want make sure that you get as many proofs as possible. DH and I allotted for 3 HOURS before our ceremony for outdoor pictures and we hit pay dirt by doing that. our photographer took over 400 pictures in those 3 hours. The total amount he took at the wedding was 870 and they are so beautiful! My favorites are from those 3 hours we spent outside.

To all future Swannies, you are in very good hands at the SC! you have nothing to worry about

You were so smart to do that! We were married at church and by the time we got up there for photos, it was getting pretty dark - when I saw your wedding was 5:00, I thought 'hmmm...they must have taken pictures first.' I wish we had gotten there a little earlier, but in the end, we a few nice photos of use outside and ended up doing the family ones inside the reception room before the cocktail hour started. Our wedding was the same Sunday as yours, last year, in the same room! It looks like you had a great day - congratulations!
