Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
Hi Ladies, I am new to this board because the stupid Knot changed their crap once again!I saw some concerns and questions about the Swan Club and all I can tell you is that if I had to do it over again, in a heartbeat I would choose the Swan Club!
Our wedding was everything we hoped it would be - the tables were set beutifully, the food was WONDERFUL (and I did get to eat, because my AMAZING MD Paul brought us tons of food to make sure we were not passing out!) - the grounds looked gorgeous and everyone (either I or my guests) came in contact with that night were so helpful and courteous - we were all thrilled with the event! To be honest, I did not really think about nor stress over whether or not there was a bridal attendant - anything that came up, which was minimal really, Paul took care of it - and my Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor, who nicknamed themselves Witch with a B 1 and 2, took great care of me the whole day and night!
As others have mentioned, the cakes were always a bit suspect to me, so to play it safe, I did bring in my own, but that is because we were particular about how we wanted it decorated and what flavors we wanted - so in the end we got exactly what we wanted.
So overall, Swan Club absolutely delivered - and I hope I get the chance to go there again sometime as a guest at a wedding - I had way too much fun!
I'll attach a few pictures, just to show how nice of a job they did!
Good luck and relax and just be sure that no matter where you get married or when, take a deep breath and enjoy the day - things ARE GONNA go wrong - just ask us, my husband's grandfather died the day OF the wedding, and I was in the ER the night before - but we made it to the altar and are now happily married and thinking of starting a family! So just enjoy your day and make sure it's what you want! :)
Kate

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
I found this at a dollar store. I thought it was cute because it had the two swans inside the glass and a tea light on top. Would be nice to put on the tables for cocktail hour. Inexpensive too :)http://www.liweddings.com/community/album/?ID=1608

How does everyone feel about the fact that there is no Bridal Attendant??? And past brides I would appreciate your imput especially...TIA Swannies![]()

I didn't think a bridal attendant was necessary. I felt that the wait staff paid us extra attention when we were seated (got us whatever we asked for) and the Matre'D did check on us many times to see if we needed anything. I wouldn't worry about having a bridal attendant - and think of it as one less tip to have to give
ETA: I have posted this before, but my cake was fine. It wasn't the greatest thing I have ever eaten, but I didn't really care that much about the cake, and pretty much let them do whatever they wanted to. Several people told me they really liked the cake. You can't please everyone, and it's just a cake. If the cake is REALLY important for you, put your mind at ease and bring one in. For me, it wasn't worth spending an extra $500 or more for and I was satisfied with what they gave me.

Hey it's a small world, I never knew the bride who's wedding I attended was another LIW Bride lol Her DH is a good friend of our family that's why we were invited. Here is the link to her review
Lissette's Review
Also, I agree about the cake I've asked atleast 50 people what they thought, and they all agreed it's just cake and unless it matter's too you that much save your money!
I am thinking just to get a basic three tier round and let Laurie work her magic with the decorations.

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
I would say a bridal attendant is not necessary, I had a DOC and her assistant and I also had Karen as my BM that day, she was there every second, she made sure everything went OK

I'm not having a DOC. .
I hope that a BM can really take care of my needs by themselves.

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
The filet mignon, I just had it at Fernsgirl's wedding it was very good, other people at my table tried the salmon and that was good as well, when I first went for my tasting I tried the sole, but since they have changed chef's, I think it's prepared differently now, I'm sure it will be very good!
