Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Oppions Please...I booked the garden room so far my fiance and I guset list is for about 162 people. The garden room capacity is 170 and that seems tight. The camelot room minimum I think was 160 or 165. I am now having secong thoughts about the size of the room.

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

Hello Girls!!

So I went to a wedding at the Swan Club last night and as promised here is my review.

Overall I had a great time... BUT... There were some things that I didn't like... but I am sure that is because I am a future bride and just being extra picky... I am writing this to make sure that you girls confront these situations and have them fixed.

When we first arrived at 6:30 for the 6:30 cocktail hour... We told the lady in the front the name of the wedding and she told us to walk around the back. We walk around the back and see another lady... And she says... 'Um...... What time is it???' I said 6:30 and she said.... 'ummmmmm ok... go over to the covered awning and the cocktail hour is there'

So we proceeded to walk over... But she didn't tell us we need to go up stairs and to the left, so we were in the middle of someone else's cocktail hour... (mind you there were about 18 of us... Crashing this other wedding OOOOOPS!) We then found where we were supposed to be and proceed to the cocktail hour... Another thing I noticed is that there were guest in the cocktail room... and they were still taking out trays and setting up plates and utensil's on the tables... If the cocktail hour starts at 6:30... Personally I feel they should be ready to serve the food at 6:30 and be finished setting up.

I ate some shrimp from the seafood boat... It was delicious... so was the fruit and cheese... I LOVED IT!!! My FH, and 3 other guest got Lobster from the seafood boat and they all felt it was horrible... I WAS VERY SURPRISED... B/C I thought (well if I am correct) That you pay extra for the Seafood boat... and for 4 ppl at 1 table to complain about the lobster it must have been bad. I LOVED EVERYTHING I TASTED AT THE COCKTAIL HOUR! Although,I didn't eat the lobster. OH OH OH... 1 more thing... When someone at the table asked the waiter going around with the trays.. the Guest asked 'What is this?' the waiter said 'I don't know.' I was like... hum.... you don't know what you are serving???

We then go to the room that is off that cocktail room... I don't know the name of the rooms so I will describe it from when you walk in the FRONT DOOR... you make a left and it is straight all the way on the left hand side... It was a perfect size room for there wedding... I am figuring about 130 ppl... 10 ppl per table and around 13-14 tables

As some of you mentioned the card table was in the center of the dance floor... This didn't bother me... Then we took our seats... BUT they wouldn't allow us to get any drinks from the bar until after the toast... This took a total of 1/2/2 hour from the time we got settled in and heard the toast no one had any drinks... I mean they had there champange... but we couldn't even get a soda... ANOTHER thing I didn't like is that the Severs/Waitress DON'T GET DRINKS... Are they suppose too??? They didn't ask us once at the table to get us a drink... and When someone asked they said to go to the bar... I don't know if this is the way it is suppose to be... every other wedding I have been to the waiters got drinks at the tables.

Also... About the drinks... THEY WERE VERY WATERED DOWN... I am not a heavy drinker at all... and there was like NO alcohol in anyone's drinks... Just a heads up... ALSO when people asked for the 'top shelf' liquor like Greygoose they said it was only for the bridal party... But I thought that all of the places had 'top shelf' liquor included...

The first course was the fruit plate which was AMAZING!!! It was sooooooo good the fruit was all fresh and in season...

The Second course was the salad... I don't know the name of it, but it had gargonzola cheese, and cranberries and walnuts... I LOVED IT!!! Not a lot of people at the table did though... Maybe they are just picky eaters... Then we had some lemon sherbert thingy... It was yummy too!!! Then there was dinner... I had the filet Minon, and my FH had Stuffed Veal THEY WERE BOTH AMAZING!!! The veggies were amazing too my FH never eats broccoli and his plate was clear!!!

Then there were pastries and choc covered strawberries... both were GREAT... I can't lie... I had 2 strawberries and 1 pastry!!! Then I MISSED THE CAKE!!! I am sorry... I really tried to eat a lot so I could come back with my review... But we were so busy dancing that I kept running back to taste everything, the salad, the lemon ice... But I missed the cake... I was so upset... I NEVER MISS CAKE AND DESERT! HEHEHHEH

You will all be very please with everything.... we had an AMAZING TIME!!! So did my FH and all my friends...

OHHHH 1 more thing The dance floor was a great size... The band was good... I don't know if it was a house band I think they were the Stinger?? or the Swinger??? They were fun. Everyone was dancing. But... I felt they weren't in sync with what was going on, no one even noticed that the father/daughter dance was happening until 1/2 thru... also they weren't announcing the course being set on the tables... so we had to keep running back to check to see what was next on the table... Just make sure that your BM is telling the band to announce what is going on. JMO

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides

I was just wondering whats going to be everyones color scheme?? I am thinking about doing the bm in champagne with pink flowers but now I am worried that champagne may not look nice in the picrures standing next to me in Ivory. Should I change the BM colors?

Pink I don't wear it but for some strange reason I have always envisioned a pink color scheme for my wedding. My girls are wearing a Wtoo dress. It's pink & black to match the groomsmen.
