Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
I'm not doing the swan holders. Changed my mind as I know I will over the next year. I'm going to put the M&M's in this placecard/favor holder (2 in 1)
. As a favor, my mom saw these swan candles and I love them. I wanted to give something swan out to remind them of our wedding at the swan club. In case they forget
. There are other swan club brides that have never posted on our little thread.
They are also getting married soon and we need their guidance

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
Bumping...Okay Ladies, as you know I am attending a wedding at the swan club this coming sunday, so is there anything specific you want/need pics of?
Anything you want me to look out for??
I will be looking at everything with a very conservative eye, My main objectives will be:
1) The cocktail hour, since I won't be attending my own (most likely) I want to see how my guests will be treated and how the food and drinks flow.
2) The transition from cocktail hour to dinner
3) How many servers and how quickly they seem to respond to requests.
4) the wedding cake
I am not sure what room they are in but i think it's the garden room, so I will take pics of how they set up.
FM me if you have anything you want pics/info about :)

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
I'm really excited about this thread! More than the brides review! Only two posts for the last month
I can't wait to read your reviews! Even if it's not the best news (bad news is sometimes very helpful)! If you can, please find out who the florist is and let us know about the flowers

Can you also check the bathroom please and let me know what happens if i put a basket in there and there is another party going on at the same time? Probably a stupid question, but...only if you remember :)

I think the upstairs bathroom is very nice! The only problem is that the guests from both the contessa and camelot rooms have to share the bathroom. The garden room has it's own bathroom but it's not a nice looking one. I guess you can't have the best of both worlds when it comes to the bathroom situation at the swan club.

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
Hi everyone, I just booked with The Swan Club. I thought the grounds were breath taking. We are looking to invite about 140 guest so we went withthe garden room, I was concerned with the height of the ceilings. I was wondering what I could do to make them look taller? I have seen in other weddings where they have fabric and lights hanging from the ceilings going across. I wonder that would look. Any oppions are appreciated. Thanks

I would invite shorter guests.

I'm going to be in the Garden Room, too, in April though! I didn't look at the ceilings. Maybe low centerpieces will make the celing look higher?I, too, thing short guests is the key ;)
Good luck planning!

Re: ALL Swan Club Brides
Okay ladies here is the review ....Over all Service 9 out of 10:
They didn't get a perfect score because of two things, 1) the cocktail hour started 15 mins late, and the table service (for beverages) was a bit slow. Other than that, the wait staff was attentive, there were there but not overly so, there was no rush to finish eating a course and tables were cleared in a quick fashion when it was time. The bars (they had two in the Garden Room) were stocked with the good stuff, but everyone at my table said they were not heavy handed at all, actually alittle on the weak side
Food: 9 out of 10
Cocktail hour, they had passed appeitizers and 6 chaffing dishes and two carved meats (turkey and tender loin (not so tender said my dad) I had the turkey which was very tasty and moist. They had penne ala vodka (
)Sausage and Peppers (
), eggplant rotinni (my fav
) wild rice (
), stuffed shells (
) and some other things but I didn't try them, the fried zucchini, fried mozzarella, pinwheels (i think bacon and cheese) and the quiche were very good!Dinner, she had seasonal melon with pasutto (sp?) and it was very good, cesar salad, i love good cesar salad and it was kind of wilted instead of crisp. then came the entrees she choose, filet minon, cornish hens and salmon, so in my tasting I had the salmon and loved it, my tablemates loved it as well, the cornish hens were full whole ones and looked yummy too and tonight I had the filet minon and it was soooo tender and it was served with roasted potatoes (red ones) carrots and these very thin string beans with almonds all were very good.
Dessert, Chocolate mousse, not my fave but it was good.
Wedding Cake, she did not like any of the designs offered by the Swan Club so she decided to bring her own cake, from Audrey's Bakery, I loved the cake some of my tablemates thought it too sweet, she had yellow cake with strawberry filling I only had a few bites because I was trying to be good lol
I will add more tomorrow because it's almost 2am lol see how much I love you girls!
Edit for the bathroom questions: If your wedding is upstairs meaning Contessa or Camlot Rooms, baskets are iffy since you're sharing but if your having your wedding in the Garden Room it's a private bathroom, just for your guests so you can put the baskets out with no worries
Cocktail Hour in the Pavillion Room, FYI they have re-done this room, it looks a million times better than when I first saw it last year, they change the carpeting from astro turf to what you see below
Now for the girls asking questions about the low ceiling in the Garden Room she had tall CP's and they looked wonderful, in my opinion they draw your eye to the tables and you don't realize how low the ceiling is but it is low
