Re: Thatched cottage thread
Can anyone tell me what the cake choices are? FH and I were talking about this tonight and we couldn't remember all of our options. We both remember the carrot cake (which I would love, but he doesn't like), but can't remember anything else.
Thanks.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
No problem, I had the list right on the coffee table! I had to have a fudge bar after typing it! Do you know what you are leaning towards? I'm thinking of the Devil's Food Cake with Canolli filling.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
FH and I are leaning towards yellow sponge with chocolate mousse filling (my favorite cake, his favorite filling). Plus, I want a dark chocolate frosting - I'm just not feeling a white wedding cake.I've had the devils food cake (but with raspberry filling) there - it was AMAZING!! You are going to love it.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
I had devil's food cake with one layer of chocolate mousse filling and another layer of raspberry preserves -- it was sooo good! Our one year anniversary is coming up, I cannot wait to have our top layer!
DH and I are going to call and ask if we can have dinner out in the gazebo for our anniversay, it falls on a Monday night so there wouldn't be a party!
Enjoy ladies!!!!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
We just picked our cake on Thursday--they don't have red velvet but they do also have marble cake. It's not listed in the mailing but they told us when we were there and we ended up picking it:)Also, for those who were wondering: If you minimum has increased since you signed your contract, you ar enot able to change it to get a lower price:(

Re: Thatched cottage thread
That stinks! 1) I wanted Red Velvet and 2) I was hoping that since I'm sure our minimum will be lower, they would do something! I wasn't expecting a lower price, but something cheaper that I might want to add on.Oh well :(

Re: Thatched cottage thread
the price would only go down if your minimum went higher but it's only if you havent signed yet..

Re: Thatched cottage thread
the final payment is cash, money order, or cashier's check, like a bank check only.
