Ladies that have done your menu already and those that had their wedding... what were the three main entrees you picked?

Hey sorry to crash, but I am considering having a party (not a wedding)at the Thatched Cottage. Do you guys have pictures of the main room? And have you tried the food? Thanks!

Re: Thatched cottage thread
my aunt went to a anniversary party there and said that it was very nice and the food was yummy (and she is really picky). I had my tasting already and the food was really good, except the salmon.. but I never had salmon before so you cant really take my word on it really lol.

Re: Thatched cottage thread
Hi Ladies, I wanted to share with you how amazing my wedding day turned out. Everything fell into place including the weather, which allowed me to have the ceremony I always dreamed of…outside. I thought I would be so nervous during the ceremony but I was so calm…everything looked so beautiful and the weather was the keep ingredient….a perfect breeze at 6:30 a night. I am beat right now so I am going to make this quick. Will follow this during the week with a broader description and pictures ( I didn’t get any yet)..TC: A: They nailed down all my directions and everything looked great! Only thing that bothered me is they did not open the bar to my bridal party while we had an hour to wait for the ceremony. Not the end of the world. For girls that are having an outdoor ceremony there…WOW! You will love it.
Pastor April- A +: CALM….really calming, professional and just overall great! The ceremony was my favorite part of the whole wedding.
Vanderbilt Museum: A+: We took pictures here prior to the ceremony and it was the perfect setting. And the weather totally helped because we got all outdoor shots. Can’t wait to share them with you.
Tommy Tunes, Joe: A+ He was awesome, fun and everything I would hope. Got the party started!
Gary Leli- Photographer: A+: Another person who was really calming….totally cool and great to work with. Some pro pictures in album.....SO HAPPY WITH THEM
Burtons Flowers: A: beautiful…I was really happy with them. Flowers were not a concern of mine so I didn’t want to spend a ton on them but for what I paid…I got beautiful centerpiece and bouquets.
Nicole D’Angio/Hair(LI Wedding Vendor): AMAZING!! AWESOME! Love her. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride. Highly recommend her.
Laura Alloca/Makeup: I found Laura through Nicole, and she was amazing as well. My makeup was amazing…not over done….but extremely glamorous. Highly recommend her.
This is it for now…let me know if you have any questions…I’m not leaving for the Honeymoon until next week. One thing i want to say....don't sweat the small stuff. Remember how i wanted the chair covers....looking back now...so happy i didn't waste the money on them. No need. People don't remember the little things that we take so much time to create..programs...place cards, etc. People will remember the smile on yours and your FH face. They will remember the TC and the great service they provide. Talk to you soon

I actually just recently called about the same thing and YES you are allowed to have things thrown. I am thinking I am going to have rose petals for people to throw. I think it looks really pretty in the pictures.
