those first few pics were at the vanderbilt museum which is a few min from thatched - we booked a 1.5 hour time slot there in case of rain and i am so glad that we did

the tables were not in the order i had them on my seating chart - and they brough me up to look at them, but i was so stressed with other things that i didnt notice that...i noticed only one table, which they switched right away, but did not notice the other table...which meant that people who should have been closer to me were not...

Everything looks AMAZING!!!! Congrats!!!
If you dont mind me asking how much was the 1.5 hour time slot at the vanderbuilt. I talked myself out of doing it originally but now that I see your pics I am back a square one and want it again lol!

I thought I was the only one who was going through that! I really think I'd like to do my pictures there too.

ETA: I just looked on the website - it says the fee is $225 for 1 hour for 1 site.

Im doing my pre pictures at the Vanderbilt and it's costing me 300 which entitles you to the inside and outside grounds (no limitations). You should go take a look at it this weekend when its supposed to be really nice out

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I am also doing pictures at the Vanderbilt before the ceremony. It was $300 for 2 hours and this gave you inside and outside use. You should go there this weekend. They let you walk around and tour the place before booking it.
I am so happy to see the inside pictures come out so nice. I was a little afraid of rain, but now I feel better.

one more question: your cake looks great! Did you use one of the ones TC provides or did you get it specially made? Is it ivory or white?

I provided the design of what I wanted to them. But, the monogram, I made myself because I do baking and cake decorating on the side. [I also made my own shamrock cookie favors]. The cake was delicious! We had devils food with cannoli cream filling. Oh and it was ivory.

Soooo pretty. OK I lied. I have ONE LAST question-seriously this time Is the umbrella in the pictures yours? If so, are you selling it?

It is mine, and I'm not selling it - sorry. I found it online.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

hey everyone.

i just got back from my honeymoon. the tc was fantastic, i could not be happier with them and with every vendor. we had such a beautiful day and they did an amazing job in every way. the maitre'd george, and my bridal attendant deborah were amazing and everyone is telling me how great the food was and that it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to, all thanks to the thatched cottage. i had the greatest day and i'm so relieved all the planning is over. i will post pictures soon, and if anyone has any questions about the tc feel free to ask, you have all been so helpful with me so i'd like to help you all as well.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hey ladies! I am getting married at the thatched cottage too! I've posted on an old thread a while back.... but I think it got removed.

Anyway, I just read through everything and I am getting so excited.

Mcclj74... your wedding looks so romantic and lovely. I have a question for you... what room was your ceremony in? In the chapel or the other room. Someone told me that the chapel was really tiny and so I was thinking asking to use the other room. I just wanted to see what you thought!

Thanks so much!!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

It was in the Chapel. I had 150 guests and it was nice and cozy. I too thought it was small, but it was actually nice to have it in there. There was plenty of room for everyone.

Thanks everyone for the compliments! I just picked up my proofs today - I am so in LOVE with my pics! I love Michael O'Neill. :)
