Re: Thatched cottage thread

Is anyone considering the chair covers? I saw them and they are pretty nice They work out to around 4.50 a piece. I just feel like they will give the room such a nice look and feel..

Re: Thatched cottage thread

The chair covers are nice but i just cant rationalize spending that much on them. The regular chairs will have to do..lol!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I thought I was quoted round 3.50 This is going to be a last minute add on for us if we can swing it. At first I was totally for it, but the more I thought about it, the more I figured you really wont see them once everyone is in the room.

ETA: they are very pretty though, I saw them as well! The burgundy color was soooo rich looking!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I love the chair covers, but we are making it a last minute add on for us too. I'd really rather put the $$ somewhere else. If it's a choice between extending the CH and the covers, I'm going for the longer CH!!!

Also, I'm kind of on the fence about them. I love the way they make a room look, but I'm not such a big fan when I'm sitting in them. Sometimes they get caught under your chair or your dress clings to them.

I'm actually going to check out the Thatched Cottage tomorrow and I swear, the ONE THING that I didn't like in photos were the purple chairs...but I'm also not a fan of chair covers...so your post was a relief! I can let you know if the purple chairs have left the building if you want, after tomorrow's visit.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I can deal with brown - it's more neutral.

The purple - at least from the pics I saw, which was only a few - was like 'holy 1980's!'

I'll keep ya posted..

Re: Thatched cottage thread

weird question---does anyone know how wide the top of the included cakes are? I want to order a monogram cake topper and they recommend what size letter you should get based on the diameter of the top of the cake....
