Re: Thatched cottage thread

When you walk into the entrance of the room to the left of you are 3 tables that are kinda on their own. You have the option to seat people there. I was contemplating this because I felt like if I did seat people there it would be kinda like they were on a stranded island. LOL
I wish I could draw the layout for you but I can’t.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Ok ladies - I have a question about the linens at TC.

We just had our final arrangements meeting on Tuesday night, and I chose the chocolate brown table cloth with the sandalwood (like a champagne color) for the napkins.

Our colors are chocolate and lavender, and my 2 MOH's have champagne colored sashes with brown dresses.

Will the brown linens look too dark with the chairs for a night wedding? I really liked how the chocolate brown looked, but I am nervous about this. TIA!

I think it will look beautiful. Personally I think the darker colors look more rich and dramatic! I don't take into account the chair color just for the simple fact that most of the time you don't see them (well unless they are hot pink or something lol). People stress so much about chairs but once the room is filled and people are sitting and mingling around the chairs get lost. I think it sounds like a beautiful combination. Also remember there will be plates and stem-wear and your CP's to brighten up the table too! and I think they will pop off the darker color. JMO

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Now I feel like I should change mine (I am so easily swayed) LOL. I picked ivory on ivory….going for a soft romantic look and I was even considering the ivory chair covers. My centerpieces will be a small vase with pink and ivory tones of peonies. Ivory taper candles and votives all over the place. My theme is vintage wine- what do you think?

Re: Thatched cottage thread

I think ivory would look beautiful with what you posted! Do you have other accent colors besides ivory and pink? To me I think the all ivory with the pearls and stuff is going to look sooooo Romantic and soft!! I wouldnt worry!

I think your colors are perfect for a May wedding. I'm getting married in the fall which is why I went with the darker colors.

The tables we are all talking about eliminating are at the bottom right hand corner of the seating chart.
