Its crazy how far things have gone, but lets change the subject...we are on a good roll with this thread and it not getting deleted, dont want the drama to make its way over here! lol And I think what was discussed thus far is very informative for newer brides!

new topic...well ... kinda...
What was everyones favorite dish that they tasted at TC? ( did I ask this already?? Sorry if I did!

You are absolutely right!!!

Ohh I SO wish that was served at my tasting! I had the chicken florentine instead (which was yummy!). Everyone keeps telling me not to pick the chicken with the mushrooms because not everyone likes a cherry sauce, but it sounds SO good!

I also loved the prosciutto wrapped asparagus (so simple but so yummy) and there was this little chicken pot sticker type thing that was to die for that came in a little bamboo steamer.. me and FH fought over them!

Everyone is telling me not to pick that one too because not everyone likes mushrooms or cherry sauce..... it was just really good. I might go bridezilla and pick it anyway

I know the exact potsticker thing you are talking about!!! FH gave me a little taste and ate all the rest! I almost called the wedding off!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Does anyone know if you have to get a copy of the liability insurance from the limo company? I wouldn't think so but, they listed 'limo company' on the sheet we're supposed to fill out with all our vendors.

hmm... I wouldnt think you would need it, but the car would be on their property, who knows if it rear ended someone, or hit a wall I guess?

Re: Thatched cottage thread

no they don't need any insurance from the limo, they just like to have a list of vendors in case something happens the day of they can contact them to help you out i guess. only the photographer and dj need isurance.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

hmmm-- i didnt think to ask the limo company.....I might just wait until I go for my meeting in June and see. I haven't been on on a while and that's so annoying about that negative post. HOWEVER.....i was at a wedding on 5/16 at TC and everything was awesome---no worries ladies!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hi my fellow TC brides- I dont usually post a lot nor am I on here a lot BUT i did see the post that caused all the 'drama'
People are all going to have their opinions on things. I could sit here and talk smack about a bunch of RH since I used to work at a bunch of them BUT I wont!
Just remember there is a reason why we all fell in love & picked the TC!
I think you all handled yourselves with a lot of class and did not get catty!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hi girls I have a few questions about the Thatched Cottage. First, what payments do they accept a credit card for, if any? Also, once you book with them, are they better at calling you back? Everytime I call the BM's are in meetings and they never call back.

Thank you!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

All I remember is your FINAL payment cannot be credit card, I am sorry I dont remember anything else. As far as them calling me back, I have never really had a problem, they ask me my date ( I guess to look up my contract.. I dont know) and then the few times I have called I have gotten a call back fairly quick or my question was answered on the spot. Hope that helps a little!

They don't accept credit cards for any payments - which bummed FH and I out since I am the queen of using my cc's for FF miles!

I've really never had a problem getting a phone call back. I know the later in the day you call them the better. I find that mid-afternoon (after 12 but before 5) is always a good time....

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hi there! I just wanted to chime in as i have been reading this thread for awhile. My wedding is a year from today at The Thatched Cottage. We went to the tasting last night, which was great. A big relief as the 'Not Impressed by Thatched Cottage' thread did freak me out a bit (though it didn;t offend me in any way!). All of the apps were great, and we had the Chicken Florentine too, which I really liked. I have generally been happy with the TC so far--they seem a bit distracted at times, but they always return our calls, and I feel confident that they will step up on the big day.

That's it--i look forward to reading more good reports from you all!

I just want to let you know that I needed to ask Andre a question this weekend. He called me back within a half an hour. Everyone I've dealt with at TC has just been wonderful.

So keep trying to call.

Re: Thatched cottage thread

FH and I were just discussing the BP gifts this weekend. For his GM, he is getting them all sports memorabilia. They are all huge baseball fans. It's kind of cute because they pick a stadium every year and go to a game - it's like my girls spa weekend. Since they all have favorite players through the years, FH is tracking down autographed baseballs or baseball cards from their favorites. Each guy will get one that means something for him.

As far as the girls' gifts go, I am not getting them all the same thing. FSIL who is one of my BMs has offered to make them the DOJ. I was thinking of getting them each something different that they would love. One sister, is a huge spa fan, so I was thinking of a Bliss gift card and a nice fluffy robe and slippers. The other sister loves going to Broadway, so I was thinking I'd get her tickets for something. FSIL is who is hanging me up - I have no idea what to get her!
