Re: Thatched cottage thread

Well, ladies.... All I have to say is that Friday was THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.

I actually got a beautiful weather day! I was expecting a hurricane, but everything worked out perfectly with Mother Nature!

The Thatched Cottage was truly incredible. As far as I know, absolutely nothing went wrong.

People have been calling my parents and Hubby's parents and saying that this was the best wedding they've been to!

Tommy's Tunes' MC Frankie was awesome. He was so nice and they played almost everything on my song list. The dance floor was packed all night long.

My Maitre'D Terrence was awesome, and so was my bridal attendant, Debra. I met Andre that night and he was very nice too.

The food was incredible. Everyone is still RAVING about the mashed potato bar and everything else at the cocktail hour. The outdoor area for CH was beautiful. Dinner was awesome too.

Every little detail that I left instructions for was taken care of, which just helped make our wedding day more personal and give people a more intimate event.

Hubby and I are waiting for our Camelot (omg, they were awesome too!!!!! our drivers were soo sooo nice) towncar to come pick us up for the airport. St. Lucia, HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Hi Ladies - Congrats to all the newlyweds! It is great to hear so many wonderful things about TC. I went to the TC the other day with FH just because we were driving by...I know it is crazy! We booked last Oct. and still not getting married for another year so I really wanted a little dose of wedding stuff. It was great!! The outside is so beautiful and the cocktail room + outside is one of the two reasons we booked (the other being the food...our tasting was great!) I am so glad that we stopped by plus it gave me some perspective for our centerpieces! A part of me just hopes they update the reception room a little but I guess I can't have it all!

No Just your matre'd, bridal attendant and your banquet manager should be there too I was told. No day of coordinator.. you have to get those from an outside company.

Wow your next no? How exciting!!! How ya feelin?

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Honestly, we were thinking of getting a DOC. FH and I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly and that our family is not the one to deal with any 'hiccups'. The more I talked to my family the more they say I am crazy. They seem to feel that they can handle it and my cousin is willing to handle it as well (she is not in the bridal party). I would suggest you speaking to your families first. When my sister got married a few years ago nothing too big went wrong but anything that did was really handled by the maitre'd or my cousin. So we are not going to waste the money. Just a suggestion!

Re: Thatched cottage thread

Matre'd and if you wanted to banquet manager? (I have heard people do this but I dunno.) Also your bridal attendant.

I am guessing the following is covered under the gratuity but maybe call to check,
Valet,
coat check
bathroom attendant
and there are two waitstaff for each table right? (waiter and busser/drink runner)

I know all waitstaff is DEF included, but I am just not possitive about the valet and bathroom attendant... HTH a little!!!
