random question....

Would any of you girls like to GTG at any time in September to celebrate the 1 year of this thread?

I know it seems silly - but i've grown to LOVE you girls and get so excited to see you post your pics & questions...

So many threads come and go and die and come back, but this one, we have worked so hard to keep going... i think it's something to celebrate!

Maybe we can get together for drinks at the Fox Hollow restaurant or something????

im totally up for it!! sept is a little hard for me too but how about in dec or early jan to celebrate all of the 08ers and welcome the 09ers

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I would also be down for a fox hollow gtg .. september is fine for me so far! (during the week would work better, but jess i don't know if that works for you .... )

I actually think the restaurant is closed much of the weekend for weddings ... they might be open on friday nights however, and I could do a fri night for drinks.

i also live close by so it's doable for me!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hello again,

Ok so any of you brides who have planned the cake already, or had their wedding already. What sorts of flavors and fillings did Fox Hollow offer for the cake? Also, any idea of upgrade prices with Cakes by Jay?? Everytime I email Cakes by Jay I get no reply and a few girl on the Knot mention having a hard time getting in touch with him on the phone even after they booked him and gave a deposit! One more question, has anyone tasted the waffle dessert Fox Hollow offers I was wondering what it tastes like since some of the things in the description of it are unfamilair to me.

Thanks!
Genine

They actually have a lot of choices for cakes and fillings, honestly though, I spit out my cake haha, I thought it was horrible and sooooo dry with almost NO strawberries, which is what I chose for filling, but I just laughed at it, and still do, it's just cake, lol.

We had the waffle thing for dessert. Everyone LOVED it. It's just a belgian waffle - warm, with some soft cream and fresh fruit - I actually didn't taste but DH said it was the best part of the meal.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I am going for my meeting with Fox Hollow this Thursday. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should ask them? I know we pick out our cake and what not but to tell you the truth I don't even care about the cake much. I'm not a cake person, I LOVE ice cream!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I have a general question but do the vendors count in the head count? Cause this will make or break my having a videographer. We are already up to 190 invited and we are in the WGP (I PRAY FOR REJECTION ) I am afraid we wont have any room. I am slowly starting to stress. I already told my parents & bridal party to fill up at the cocktail hour because we may not be sitting!

If you're asking if vendors count towards the max seating capacity then no, they don't, they don't sit in the room. So if the room holds 150, thats 148 guest and then you two, vendors aren't part of that.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Ok I need help ladies -

So I am booked for the WGP for CH and BF for Reception. I LOVE the WGP but the BF is just ok. I love the Garden Terrace. The thing was when I booked, for the GT I cannot have my CH in the WGP. Plus the guarantee was higher.

Now I am having doubts. I really love the GT and WGP but can't have both. I was thinking about changing to the GT.

Does anyone know what the guarantee was?

Also, what would you ladies do? Please help put my mind at ease.
