Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Ok I need help ladies -

So I am booked for the WGP for CH and BF for Reception. I LOVE the WGP but the BF is just ok. I love the Garden Terrace. The thing was when I booked, for the GT I cannot have my CH in the WGP. Plus the guarantee was higher.

Now I am having doubts. I really love the GT and WGP but can't have both. I was thinking about changing to the GT.

Does anyone know what the guarantee was?

Also, what would you ladies do? Please help put my mind at ease.

Headcount varies depending on when you are getting married.. For me - our CH was in the restaurant and our reception room was the WGP. My minimum was 65 (i can double check, it was either 65 or 70).

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Well I don't think I can guarantee 200. I am almost at that mark but thats just for inviting. Then they say 20% don't come so I am figuring aroudn 170.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

would you consider a daytime wedding? We were in the same situation. We really like the GT room but we couldnt guarantee 200. So we switched it to the daytime so we could have a lower minimum. I was in love w/ that room and so i really wanted it!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Girls - I just picked up my direction cards from the fox hollow today (mailing my invites next week!) and walked around the grounds for a few minutes after. And I almost cried, that's how beautiful the new garden area in the front is. Honestly, though - I think the lump in my neck and the funny feeling I got in my stomach was more due to the fact that soon, I will be sitting on the benches in my dress posing for pics in that beautiful garden. And I got sooooo excited about it!

Hello again,

Ok so any of you brides who have planned the cake already, or had their wedding already. What sorts of flavors and fillings did Fox Hollow offer for the cake? Also, any idea of upgrade prices with Cakes by Jay?? Everytime I email Cakes by Jay I get no reply and a few girl on the Knot mention having a hard time getting in touch with him on the phone even after they booked him and gave a deposit! One more question, has anyone tasted the waffle dessert Fox Hollow offers I was wondering what it tastes like since some of the things in the description of it are unfamilair to me.

Thanks!
Genine

You have to call Jay- not email him. he will get back to you, but it might be that he is in Colorado filming for food network or something. but he will always get back to you- I never had a problem when he did our cake. His cakes taste soooo good btw!
We had the waffle desset at our wedding. it was vanilla ice cream with a waffle piece on it. It was really good. It also had chocolate fudge on it and we asked them to add whip cream and a cherry and they did. it was a huge hit! Their ice cream was actually very very good! Its one of the few things I ate at my wedding! LOL.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I'm getting married on Friday the 13th, so I will definitely have a 13 table if the amount of people allows, or maybe even make the bride and groom table #13 just because. Then again... it's up to you. I don't think anyone would really notice if that number is skipped.

Pointing out that if you want the waffle dessert, it comes with cream on it, not ice cream.. if you want that, you have to ask specifically. I asked about it and Annmarie seemed confused.

Also, Gina, can you clarify? Was there a time when upgrades by Cakes by Jay were offered through Fox Hollow? Some of the earlier posts were a little confusing and it made it seem like that was the case..

My wedding was 2 weeks ago in the Briar Fox.

Honestly, I had my doubts at first and almost right up to the day, but the room was PERFECT. It was cozy and intimate, but elegant at the same time. I got so many comments about how nice the room was and how it was perfect for my wedding, how it was so elegant and classy.

Hope that helps some of you girls that are worried.

In April, I had to guarantee 225 for the GT. I know that at different times of the year it is only 175. I would call and find out from them!!
