They take down the holiday decorations the 2nd weekend in January. I asked about this b/c I wanted to make sure it was still up for mine.

HMM. i wonder if they will be up for mine then. I am just after that two week mark. I will have to call and ask. It doesn't matter either way to me but I think it will be pretty.

If you are willing to compromise on the date you can get a great rate in the winter. My wedding is in January and we got a great price for a Saturday night. We are in the Garden Terrace room though, so I don't know if they give you more of a break if you have a higher minimum? FM me if you want details.
I think that's the room I wanted!
See.. I really love the place for the outside picture taking area.. I dont know how that's going to be in Nov to March![]()
nothing changes in the winter - it's just colder outside!!!! it's all still the same - just without flowers - but the bare branches are just as pretty honestly.. i have some outside pics in my pro album i think...if not - i'll add them!
I love your pictures. It makes me so excited to take pics outside. I hope they still have christmas lights up for January 17!
They take the Xmas lights down after Little Christmas. That's part of the reason why I decided to have my wedding on January 3rd. I have a feeling that I won't be taking alot of outdoor pics and the Fox Hollow is so gorgeous on the inside all decorated for Xmas. I wanted a December wedding but they wanted $30 more pp in December than in January.

It is totally great how the two of you stayed grounded and remembered exactly WHY you are doing this - to MARRY EACH OTHER! NO pomp and circumstance needed. Just the true focus of it all - marrying him!
Love love love it! Even happier for you!
Plus the addition of Degrassi is such a sweet idea! LMAO I loved Snake (still do - I watch the new ones also!)
If you were to meet Jess and Dave, you would know how truly grounded they are. She is no-nonsense, this is how it is - and that is how their relationship is. They are so kind to each other, even when one happens to pierce the other one's eardrum with a lollipop stick. (Matt would have never spoken to me again, seriously.) I am honored to call them friends, even though I do not see them often.

He'd probably speak to YOU again because he's like that with people he doesn't know too well. Even if it hurt more than he could say, he would tell you it doesn't bother him at all.
But me?
I get embarrassed thinking of the words that would come out of his mouth..
Seriously ... he once threatened not to go to a friends' for dinner over something dumb - we were bickering about something, no idea what. But I was drying my hair and yes, I hate to admit it, but I took the hair dryer and placed it against his arm. I was realllllly mad, and I am embarrassed to admit I did it. He was really mad at me for like 30 mins. but now we laugh about it. Well, I do, and he does behind the closed pursed mouth.
And then there was the time I was supposed to just clean up the back of his hair with the clipper that was on #1 (as in, it would shave off all the hair?) -- he buzzes his head himself and hands it to me when he wants me to go over it one more time on #3 and then puts it on 1 to just make a nice line at the bottom and clean up the fuzzies you know? Well he didn't tell me it was on #1. He had a nice thick line of NO HAIR up the back of his head, and we had a plane to catch in 2 hours. We had to stop at Supercuts on the way to the airport. They fixed it. We do both laugh about that one - but it didn't hurt him.

I think you can do better. I got a sat night in aug for almost the same price. Be persistent! It was pay off. Plus make sure you tell them other halls did better with the price.

i dont have 09 quotes, but i would imagine it would be cheaper since you'll be getting and 09 price instead of the 2010 price, but it couldnt hurt to call up your BM and ask!
I am not sure if this applies to the reception or not, but Ieast for the hotel I was told that they did not have 2010 prices for the hotel yet so anything booked will be the 2009 prices applied in 2010 until they are updated.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I don't know if it's standard for them to do this but when I booked way back in 2006 for my Jan '09 wedding, in our contract they gave us a free room at the Inn for the wedding night.Does anyone know which place to get chair covers from? When I visited the Garden Terrace, which is where my wedding is being held, they were setting up for a wedding and the chair covers had gross stains on them.

I won a free night at the hotel at a showcase last week, so that detail took care of it self. (Thanks, PWP showcase!!) We are meeting with my BM on Saturday to renegotiate the price a bit and see what we can do... and if we can save money we may move the wedding to November 2009.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Windy -I originially wanted Nov 09 but a Saturday night only. The price was $95pp plus tax and gratiutiy.
Then our BM said if we want to January we could save a ton of $$$, which we definitely did!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Hello Ladies,I am new hear, also getting married at the Fox Hollow in the Garden Terrace Room, July 12, 2009. I am glad I read your posts because it has me giving serious thought to our cake and questions I need to ask. We were told that we can choose a cake from the book but they didnt show it to us and said we'd see it when we get closer. I really want to see it now to see if I need to make other arrangements. Can you tell me, do you get a cake tasting at the Fox Hollow????
We have been working with Dave and my fiance felt put a bit off by the fact they wouldn't give us a food tasting and said 'We are the Scotto Brothers, the name speaks for itself' THey did however bring us to the restaraunt and feed us complimentary appetizers, which we liked. We also ate at the Watermill recently and loved the food so that makes us feel good.
I asked Dave several times about cost of kids/vendors and was told that after our gurantee we pay 1/3 of the price, no mention of 1/3 off the price so now I need to call and ask and then make a stink. I went in there with a long questionnaire and wrote EVERYTHING down and then asked again when we went back to confirm so I will have to really look into this.
Thanks for opening my eyes! BEst of luck to all of you!!
