Went shopping with my mother for mother of the bride dresses this weekend. I didn't realize that it takes 3 months to come in....like a bridesmaid dress. She looked gorgous though. Today I am focusing on shoes and undergarments. If anyone has gotten either so far I would love to hear from where. Ordered my invites this weekend!!! I love them.

Way to go SIBride06. I can't wait to be done with all the major vendors. Still have florists, limos, tuxedos, and invitations. Invites and Florists are next week's tasks.

Is it the August 26th yet? I can't wait for the planning part to be over (no offense to brides who enjoy this part), I might change my tune though once the date gets closer and I still need to get stuff done.

SIbride06, can you believe all the little things that go into ordering invites? By the time you are done it is so expensive. Did you decide if you are going to use a calligrapher to address your envelopes or have it done by computer? We haven't gotten to that part yet.

ok, now my mom has her dress, but my fmil cannot get her lazy azz together to go get one...she needs to order it asap - i don't care if i don't see it at this point.

ordering bm dresses this saturday....ordering invites the first weekend of march....will probably print addresses and such on computer....other then that, we are stuck

you save a lot of money printing envelopes on the computer and it is just as nice! I think that is the way we will go.

Good Job Janie!!! Can you believe in 4 days our wedding will be exactly 6 months away. Time seems to be flying, I cant wait!!

I registered, set a date for the rehearsal, picked out the shoes for my BM, blocked hotels for my OOT guest and finally ordered the FG dresses. Also Pre Cana is next weekend.

Whats left?

1- Plan Dinner Rehearsal
2 -BP gifts
3 -Make up/Hair Trial
4 -Need to get: Toasting flutes, Pillow/FG basket
5 - Unity Candle
6 -Get Materials for Veil, shoes, undergarments
7 -Complete Guest list in excel (add addresses)
8 -Bridal Shower List
9 -Select Songs & Pictures for Montage

I think for the invites we are going the computer label route.. I dont want to spend the extra money for a Calligrapher.

Happy to say that we bought save the dates today after much back-and-forth! I have this week off, so I got a lot done, such as the tent and the music.
