Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

i can't picture any blue in the garden terrace room- i have been thinking creams and maybe a little pink.. the chairs are definitely burgundy unless you put chair covers on them.

this may be a longshot, but are there any jewish brides on here who have gotten married at FH? i am getting nervous that there is not a specific time and place for us to sign our ketubah before the ceremony. this matters a lot to me and i really don't like how any of my jewish wedding related questions get a funny look and a 'yeah yeah, don't worry about it' (i still have yet to have confirmation on whether or not there is an actual chuppah or if it's just the arch thing.. and based on my recent experience, i'm not just going on 'well ron told me there was a chuppah'.. ).. anyone?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I was told that there will be chuppah and that Richard will provide the flowers for them. I am also in the Garden Terrace room and I only recall creams and beiges in there. I have my final meeting on Monday so I will go back in the room and take pics if i can remember to bring my camera. I will definitely bring up the chuppah and make sure one will be provided. I will report back with my findings

As far as the signing of the Ketubah, we decided that will happen at 11 since our ceremony starts at 11:30. My rabbi said he can make it as long or as short as we want. I figure 15-20 min is just fine. Say a little speech, explain the Ketubah, sign, sign and be done. lol We are going to explain the Ketubah in our wedding program so he doesn't have to go into great detail. I will also ask where the signing can take place. I don't really want people to see the room before the reception.

Any other questions/things I should be bringing up at the meeting? i feel so unprepared..

Does anyone know how much the Fox Hollow's Officiant costs?

We're using Rabbi Berman, coordinated through Rev. Nick, and I was told that the officiant's cost is a flat rate of $350. From what I know, it's listed and included in the final bill from Fox Hollow, rather than a separate bill.

HTH!

I was wondering the same thing. How early prior to the ceremony is the run through- does anyone know?

I was told the ceremony rehearsal is one hour prior.

We had our menu meeting last night and I was told the same.

For Jewish couples who need to sign the ketubah before the ceremony, we were offered either our bridal suite or the photo studio for a private area to do this beforehand. We chose the photo studio b/c we have issues with family members having difficulty walking up stairs (me included!)

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I'm on my way out the door, but just wanted to say we had a GREAT menu meeting with Annmarie last night!! Every question and concern I had was answered, we upgraded to the grand Viennese (extra $ of course) and chose linens & our cake design. It helped that I brought pictures of exactly what we want, so she took the pics and put them in our folder for reference. We were able to taste 2 appetizers because we asked (and also mentioned that Ron promised us things and isn't there anymore).

I have more to post, all good, but we're on our way to Baltimore now to see the Yankees vs. Orioles tonight.

I'll write more when we return!

I can't answer your question. BUT, I think you need to get someone to actually sit down with you and put IN WRITING when and where this stuff will xactly happen so you have peace of mind. And if they say they dont need to do that be persistent and say that it HAS to be done. That ebing said- Fh was very well at keeping the flow of my day being smooth and everything did go as planned. :)

Double check though. It may be 400.00 flat rate, that is what mine will cost in 2010

our was about 10 minutes before the guests were let in.

they herded them into the restaurant which was set up with coffee & croissants & bagels. they waited there until we were done. we went into the bridal suite & they went across the hall into the room.

I had met AnnMarie on Monday and thought she was an absolute peach. She did the same thing with us with our photos for the cake & what Ron had promised she followed thru with Pierogies & Kielbasa on our Mediterranean table for the Groom and Corned Beef & Beer for the Bride! Very happy I have less than a hundred to go!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I know I am only a half- a** LIWedding Bride poster, but I do want to thank all the 'Old Fox Hollow Pros' who continuely calm my nerves just buy reading your posts. As I have said before I can't access at work, and after a pre-honeymoon vacation I can back to a very sick little dachshund who I have been running around from Vet apt to vet apt all while trying to become homeowners! Not to mention meeting setting up menu, ordering direction cards, stamps, favors, etc etc etc. But it is very nice to come back after a time away to see how helpful all of you are. It is a calming zen like feeling and I thank you for it. I wish nothing but happiness to all of you and will continue my sporadic posts!

Thanks
