I know I am only a half- a** LIWedding Bride poster, but I do want to thank all the 'Old Fox Hollow Pros' who continuely calm my nerves just buy reading your posts. As I have said before I can't access at work, and after a pre-honeymoon vacation I can back to a very sick little dachshund who I have been running around from Vet apt to vet apt all while trying to become homeowners! Not to mention meeting setting up menu, ordering direction cards, stamps, favors, etc etc etc. But it is very nice to come back after a time away to see how helpful all of you are. It is a calming zen like feeling and I thank you for it. I wish nothing but happiness to all of you and will continue my sporadic posts!
Thanks
it's like the 'fellowship of the fox hollow brides'
coming here always gave me great solace.
coming back always brings me back to the best day EVER!!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Helloo!I was wondering if any past brides or future ones for that matter have asked FH about doing a rehearsal on a Thurs. night for a Fri. wedding? I know people have been talking about run throughs 10-20 min. before but I really don't want to be rushed and a lot of family is coming from CT so I will be making my invitations for about 30 min. earlier than the actual ceremony time so everyone can get there on time (in case of traffic, etc.). So I don't want someone actually getting there a 1/2 hour earlier and then seeing us doing it plus I don't want to deal with that the day of the wedding- I hate feeling like I'm not prepared. Anyway- this went on longer than expected so basically just wondering if anyone has ever asked FH about this or done it themselves? Thanks!!

I just put my order in for my invitations and I called the Fox Hollow to ask about the invite time because my Ceremony is at 6:30 and they said do not put an earlier time on the invite. They said they figure that people show up earlier anyway and if you make your invite for a half hour earlier than your ceremony, they might not be able to accomodate them because then they might be there an hour to an hour and a half before your wedding starts. This is what they told me. I would call them and confirm before you do your invitations.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
my invites say a half hour earlier. from experience, this is practically a necessity. people expect your invite to be a half hour earlier so many people don't plan to get there until a half hour after the invite says. also, this cushion of time has also prevented a lot of latecomers from actually being latecomers at ceremonies i've been to.

MY BM told us to make sure we put a 1/2 hour earlier for the ceremony. Our ceremony is at 1130am and she told us to definitely put 11am.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
i think its a good idea because you definitely want the ceremony to start on time - so if people get there at the 'real 'ceremony time, by the time everyone gets settled in their seats, its already going to be running a bit late...

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
BUMP for my first fitting pictures!I also got a hair trial this weekend but didn't like it on me -- she did a great job and everyone else loved it, but I decided it was too fussy for me. Pic is below.
AND, I went to BJs today and got some things for the OOT bags - 100 calorie packs of cheez-its, etc, gum and granola bars. I am also going to put two bottles of water in each bag and 2 pieces of fruit. I was going to make special labels for the water but screw it. Plain old Poland Spring will have to do. I am spent, literally and figuratively.
AND, I got my signature frame yesterday at Michaels ... regularly $24, onsale for 40% off!!! Pic is below. If anyone still needs one, go to Michaels!

First, LOVE the dress, you look beautiful. To be honest, I really love your hair, I think its looks gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! But if its not what you feel is right, then don't do it, but it really did come out very nice.
Who did it?

The hair was done by my regular hairstylist - her name is Chris and she owns Top Cuts in Bethpage. Ive been going to her for like 12 years and she's done all my updos for weddings I've been in, etc - so I trust her 100% for my wedding day. But this look is just a little fussy for me I think.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I love your hair too! I think it looks beautiful! I am sure you will find the perfect style for YOU.Subject change-
I had my meeting with Annemarie last night. Overall I think it went well. (Aside from my fathers usual comments) I was impressed with her and how she handled all of us together (not an easy feat by any means) We got the linens like we were promised and we decided not to upgrade the cake- although I did hand her a pic so hopefully it will be similar looking. Hope for the best, right?! Now for those who have used or are using chair covers, did you feel you needed the sash? My mom doesn't think it is necessary but i LOVE the way it looks. Am i being ridiculous thinking we need them??
also- saw our room again and everyone else's rooms- went through the whole place and let me tell you I FELL IN LOVE AGAIN!!!!! SO EXCITED!!
I also don't think there are any other weddings going on the same day as me so that is even more awesome!!!!!!

Thanks Jess
I am going to have another trial. I would rather not as I have NOOOOOOO $$$ but I have to. I have been looking at pics a lot and one minute I think I have decided on something, and the next, I say no no no that's not right.
I have no idea what I want to do. I want simple and elegant but not boring or slicked back, etc. UGH. There is a thread I started yesterday on the 08 board with some styles I like .... do you like any of these?
