Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

i will probably just use the menu they give. I am sooo not crafty anyway!

Question about the Fox Hollow florist... for those of you who visited, how were his prices compared to other vendors you visited?

I met with 5 florists, and he landed in the middle. Not the lowest quote but not the highest either. He was great and I just felt comfortable that he was on sight. Needless to say, we hired him!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Ok, Richard gave me 2 quotes. One on the fly, which was significantly higher than other florists. Another at a formal meeting, which was right in the range of everyone else. I'm glad that I didn't write him off after the first quick time speaking with him, since I too LOVED my flowers and they were exactly what I was looking for.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

glad to hear it jbooth! and i agree, tilapia is tasty and i eat flounder anyway, so maybe i will shake myself of this new 'habit'!

question for past brides or anyone who has stayed in the inn at fox hollow before- is there a breakfast buffet on the weekends? does anyone know how early it starts? long story short, everyone in my family who is going to be staying over the night before our sunday day wedding is going to be without a car.. so we need to know whether or not there will be breakfast available or if we need to bring stuff to leave in the kitchens in our hotel rooms.. thanks!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I am kinda disappointed it sends at 10AM on Sunday! That's early I think. I may not want to get up that early the day after my wedding! I guess we will play it by ear and if we are up, we're up. If not, we'll go to breakfast somewhere else.

For those of you about to get married / who have gotten married ... if you requested specific beers - how many cases did they get you?? I don't want to ask for too many, but I need to know what the standard is. We have a lot of beer drinkers.

Oh man, totally didn't consider that. What beers do they offer? FH loves beer but it very particular

normally they serve bud, bud light and heineken? or miller? crap beers if you ask me. we asked for yuengling, bass and smuttynose (a VERY particular beer) and they can get them. before i tell her how many cases to get, i wanted someone to tell me how many they usually get ... not sure if anyone knows ...

Do you have to pay extra for that?? I know we are getting the open bar with premium liquor- whatever that means lol does beer count in that??

No extra - they told us in our original meeting when we booked that they would get us whatever beer we wanted. Might be on my contract, not sure. Can't hurt to ask!

FYI - Went to Egra Bakery this weekend and bought a cake. It was so good. Actually it sat in my car for like 6 hours and it was still very moist and yummy!

Just wanted to let you girls know for those who have fears about the cake.

hey have an excellent bfast buffet. But i think it ends at 9am or 9:30am. You should duoble check with them.

Also, we stayed there on a Thursday night and a Friday night for the wedding. On Thursday they had a dinner buffet. We had some snacks from it before leaving for our rehearsal dinner. The food from it was also great!!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I'm not getting married until May 2009, but I was disappointed that they serve breakfast until 10am. Whats the point especially since my wedding ends at 12:30am saturday night..my mom has decided to do a catered brunch the next day...

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

You guys are so awesome!! thanks for the breakfast menu. I confirmed with frank, it does start at 8 am on Sunday. He said I could send someone down to bring food up to my room for me.

i called in my final count too.. Of course, since people in my family can't get it together, i am really not even 100% sure, but i went with my original minimum and i'll just pay for whoever else might show up on the day of!

Brown eyes- what time does your wedding start? I'll be there from 9:30 am until 5 pm.. If we don't get to 'chat' here again before- best best best of luck and i am honored to 'warm up' the place for you!!! Maybe we'll even run into each other!!! Enjoy the next ten days!!!!!!!!!!

I never thought we'd be up...but we were actually at breakfast by 9! Our wedding went til 12. A lot of our OOTers had to leave and we wanted to see them. It was open a little later than 10...like 10:30 or so. The food was great!
