Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Does anyone know of any bar/restaurant/lounges located near the Fox Hollow. We have a sunday daytime wedding..so many of our guests will be staying at the hotel Sat night...FH is already talking about hanging out with everyone so if there is someplace local and casual everyone could go to hang out and have a few drinks the night before, that would be great...

TIA!

I don't know too many places so if someone recommends a place, I would love to know as well.

There are tons of places in the village of Huntington - which is not far but not REAL close either (10 mins by car).

On Jericho, there is Major's Steak House in Woodbury ... near Woodbury Commons. In Syosset there is The Inn Between (also on Jericho) and Sagamore Steak House (on Jericho) - this one is probably the closest but I think the food is a bit pricey. Inn Between isn't far from there and I think they are very reasonable.

I think there are some restaurants in Woodbury that have bars and are pretty close by. Maybe take a drive over there and check a few of them out! There may also be a bowling alley nearby- that could be fun!

There was a bride on here who went bowling in her dress, I can't remember who and I told FH I totally want to do that! I don't want to take my dress off, and I want to hang out with people after since it will be over by 5. I think it would be hysterical!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Past brides- where did you get dressed? Our ceremony is at the Fox Hollow. I am staying in the inn, right next door and planned to get into my dress there. My mom said she thinks i should bring the dress over to the bridal suite and put it on there, so it doesn't get dirty on the walk over. It's not that far.. should i just hold it up? It's got a train but not HUGE.. i'm just afraid of running into my fiance.. i mean, i guess we can make him stay out of the way, or i can use the back entrance, but that all seems so complicated. what do you guys think?

i got dressed at the Inn and we did pics there and outside at the hall. My bridal attendant, Cindy, was always holding my dress up for me!
