Past brides- where did you get dressed? Our ceremony is at the Fox Hollow. I am staying in the inn, right next door and planned to get into my dress there. My mom said she thinks i should bring the dress over to the bridal suite and put it on there, so it doesn't get dirty on the walk over. It's not that far.. should i just hold it up? It's got a train but not HUGE.. i'm just afraid of running into my fiance.. i mean, i guess we can make him stay out of the way, or i can use the back entrance, but that all seems so complicated. what do you guys think?

i got ready at the INN too.. with all my bridesmaids.. we all walked over after we were dressed.. it wasnt bad at all.. the bridal attendant comes and gets you at the INN , and they hold your bok.. and your train for you.. they treat you like royalty!! nothing to worry about!!!

thanks ladies.. i think it's fine too.. and you are good enough authority for my mom, so she's fine with putting the dress on in the hotel!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I decided that it all depends on the weather where I get dressed. My photographer is coming to the INN at 8:30 and if it is nice out I will get dressed there, if not the bridal Suite it is. They are going to have FH secluded somewhere until we are ready for the 'first shot' of us seeing each other.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

So my sister just attended a wedding at the fox hollow this past saturday night. I was happy because she said everything was really good! She said the CH food was good and her entree as well! (she had the salmon)... she said the only thing that was bad, which is minor, is that the dessert that the couple chose (an ice cream type of dish) came out melted... but that was it! So needless to say i am glad i got a good review since ive never been to a wedding there myself!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you remaining 08'ers pics!

I want to see what different colored linens look like on the tables instead of white.

Did anyone choose any other color than white?

Does anyone know of any bar/restaurant/lounges located near the Fox Hollow. We have a sunday daytime wedding..so many of our guests will be staying at the hotel Sat night...FH is already talking about hanging out with everyone so if there is someplace local and casual everyone could go to hang out and have a few drinks the night before, that would be great...

TIA!

I don't know too many places so if someone recommends a place, I would love to know as well.

I think there are some restaurants in Woodbury that have bars and are pretty close by. Maybe take a drive over there and check a few of them out! There may also be a bowling alley nearby- that could be fun!

Thank you so much...awesome...bowling is right up our alley.. no pun intended.. Good idea, next time we're over there we'll drive around and scope out the area!

The Syosset Bowling Alley is on Jericho in Syosset it's MINUTES away and it's just been remodeled... they hold the ProAm there almost every year because it's one of the biggest and nicest bowling alleys on LI.

So if you wanted to go to dinner:

The Inn Between
Empire Schezuan
Celebrity Diner
Sagamore
Lagunna Grille (in Woodbury Village)
