Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Does anyone know if FH does wedding rehearsals the day before? The only reason i'm asking is because when i first met with Dave Gerin i believe he said they just do a quick run through right before the wedding starts. i can't remember exactly. Also need to know so i will know if i need to make arrangements for a rehearsal dinner. TIA

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
we were told the rehearsal if you need one is just before the ceremony, because it will be all set up. They also told me that if your wedding is on a Friday you would be able to have one most likely on Thursday because there are less events going on.\
We are thinking of setting something up somewhere else to mimic the aisle to do a run through the night before, but that will all depend on if we have flower girls or ring bearers or not

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
My wedding is on a Friday and at first when we got a walk through before booking, it was mentioned that we can use the restaurant for our rehearsal dinner with out ever actually discussing the rehearsal part so I had assumed that we would go through it the night before, but after reading posts here and recalling, it seems that they do rehersals about 20min before the actual wedding. So far we've decided to just do a big BBQ at our house with a mock aisle for a rehearsal / dinner and then a really fast run through day of. I have a while to go so plans may change but this is what we budgeted for so far.

Any past brides (or brides before me) have 22 spare gold frames laying around?
I spoke with AnnMarie and she said the only ones for the Garden Terrace are silver and it totally clashes with my gold, brown, ivory color scheme.![]()

I am back from my honeymoon- just got married on 9/14.. had the GT room. In my final meeting with Frank, he and Denise promised me that I could use the gold frames in the GT room b/c there wasn't another party going on at the same time.. I was very happy with that, as I too had a gold, brown and orange color scheme.. and silver was NOT a part of that! However, on my wedding day, they used the silver frames.. and all i could do was say 'whatever'.. i was definitely not happy about it but all in all it did not matter.
I'll post a full review but the main points that i know you guys are interested in-
1. We had about 130 in the Garden Terrace room and it was NOT too small a party.. it felt really nice, very open and spacious.. the tables were well spaced out and it did NOT feel sparse. It was lovely and lots of people commented on how beautiful the room was.
2. If there are specifics that you want addressed- go over them and be super clear. Honestly, many of the details that I was specific about kind of got lost in translation. I wish i'd had a DOC to be in charge of all that because there was only so much I could do. I do wish that I had been able to meet with the Maitre D, Roger, ahead of time, because he did not have the same schedule that I had gone over with Frank in my final meeting and it caused some hiccups.. The DJ had the schedule I gave Frank, but Roger had a different one and they kept having to stop me and ask me what I wanted, which was really annoying. I went out of my way to get a cake from an outside vendor and spent a LOT on it.. and then the bridal attendant (Claudia, who was otherwise very sweet and helpful), put the flowers on it wherever she wanted.. instead of just on the top like I had asked. It wasn't a big deal and it did look pretty, I just wish she would have asked me where I wanted them. Oh and one of my friends just told me that her table never got served wedding cake.. and i had cake for 150 and only 130 people at the wedding.. Also, I really wish Roger had stopped to introduce himself to me instead of just telling me where to go stand, but overall, my family raved about him.. he was very attentive in helping my MIL who has limited mobility and everyone really loved him, so I guess that is good.
All of these little hiccups aside, none of it really mattered and it was a great wedding. FH did a great job .. the place is beautiful and everyone loved the food. You guys should be very happy with your pick, but don't expect 100% perfection.. it just never happens! Don't let that take away from your day though!!

Congratulations Fishy!!!! I am so happy for you. Please post pics as soon as you have them. Either here or on the knot. I'm glad everything turned out great. I agree, when it comes to big events like weddings, it's very hard to have everything go 100% perfect but i don't think it will completely ruin you day and obviously it didn't ruin yours.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
thanks! i posted pics on the knot (in my bio).. same name. will try to get them up here too.we had round tables with anywhere from 8 to 11 people at them. they seat up to 12 but i think 10 is ideal.. unfortunately it was just hard to divide up people and some tables were bigger than others. one friend said that her table of 11 did not feel crowded but the server acted like there were too many people.. same one that didn't serve the cake.. sounds like maybe she just wasn't the best in general (threw plates down, tried to take food away while people were still eating.. you know everything i asked that they NOT do!)
if anyone wants more pics to see the whole thing/set up, please email me on here and i'll send some out.

hey girls. i have a question for those who have either gotten married at the fox already or gone to their final meeting. is the menu they go over with you and type out the same as the one you get when you first booked with them- as far as the dinner entrees go and how it's worded? i want to order my menus but i don't want to get it all done and then realize it's not the same anymore when i go for my final meeting- thanks!

I thought about that...and then started stressing about it..(you know I dont want to have something on the menu that is incorrect)
...thats when I decided, I will just use the menus they provide... has anyone used Fox Hollows menus... what do they look like?

we were told that if they changed the menu we would have the option between the original menu we booked wtih and the new menu, but they change it every 2 years or so.

We booked almost 2 years before our wedding. The menu changed by the time it was our wedding. But we were contracted for our menu that we saw when we booked. They gave us the option to change to the new menu. But we preferred the menu as it was when we booked. So we left it alone. We used their menu but added our monogram in instead of the FH logo.

Do they allow you to pick up the menus before hand, like when you get the direction cards and place cards? I wouldn't mind adding our names to the top of the menu instead of the fox hollow logo...

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
we had fox hollow's menus and they were just plain white or ivory paper (nice enough paper) with our names printed in a script on top and the date.. no fox hollow logo or anything. they were nice enough. menus were one thing i didn't obsess over..i'll get pics out soon! one of my friends just posted some on facebook and there are some good room shots.. just have to figure out how to get those pics..
