You did look great! My photographer also suggested enlarging one of our engagement pics to put at the place card table. I've seen it before and think it's a great idea!!!

I mentioned the idea of blowing up one of our e-pics and framing it for the cocktail hour to FH..he said 'Everyone must be sick of looking at that sh*t already' ... LOL! Because I sent the pics to everyone.... oh well im still doing it... we got a nice frame as an engagement gift, it holds 3 pics so maybe I will use that...
I still think it's a great idea!!!!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

back to the easel question, they have them.. we had a signature frame and without us asking them to do it, they put it up on a table behind our 'love dais' (haha, that's what they call your table) on a pretty easel..

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I'm pretty sure you can just go and pick them up, because whomever is sitting at that front desk when you first walk in has them in the desk drawer. Just tell them how many you need and they should be able to give them to you without a problem.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I will fill in what I know below. I hope it helps!

Posted by gip32680

Ok this is long so brace youself and please bear with me. Here are all of my questions that i need answers to. I hope some of you can help me. Some questions may be repeats but i am just copying what i have written down. Here we go...

Am i entitled to a comp room at the inn?
They give this if you are getting married in the off season. If they tell you you have one, get it in writing!!!

Do they supply music for the ceremony?
I don't think so, but they do have sound system. My husband made a mix CD which they played for us during our cocktail hour.

When can I see the linens and chair covers?
At your meeting a couple months before your wedding.

Can i see a sample of the menus, place cards and direction cards?(considering doing my own)
Yes- they will show you at the meeting. They can send you the file for the menu and you can add in your own monogram and they print them for you.

Are votive and floating candles ok to use in my centerpieces?
I believe so

Can we do a buffet table and how and when is it set up?
Im not sure what you mean. Instead of a seated dinner?

How much in advance can we go set things up?
What things? A few days before you will bring everything to them in boxes with instructions on what things are for. They take care of it.

How early can the dj set up?
I think the DJ's know and take care of this. Mine didn't even ask me- they just took care of it.

If i get a room at the inn, how early do they allow you to check in?
I think 2 or 3:00.

Who are the main people to tip? How much?
Just at the hall?
matre D
bridal attendant

How are the final payments broken up and when do we pay?
This should be on your contract

Can we take pics in the WG before the ceremony?
Only if there isn't another party going on.

What is on the table for the CH? Any decorations?
I think there were a couple of votives and a floating candle thing. I can't remember but will try to find a photo for you.

How soon do we finalize the menu?
At that meeting where you choose your linens.

What happens if i do not meet my minimum?
You pay for the minimum anyway. Some girls ahve gotten things thrown in. I think it depends on how below you are.

Will there be a bathroom attendent?
I was told there was one at my wedding.

Will valet and bathroom attendent be included in service charge?
I believe so. I think guests also throw them some money, so you dont have to worry about it. Chances are there is more than one even going on at the same time.

Will I be provided with a floor plan of the WG to assist in seating?
Yes

If my guests arrive early, how will they be accomodated?
Im not sure, but there is a rstaurant on site that has a bar. Probably will be directed there.

Will i have a bridal attendent and how long will she be with me?
Mine came and saw me while I was getting ready and went around with me during pictures and was with me a lot till the reception. Then she was still around, but not as much cus i was socialiing and dancing. But she was there the whole time.

If i bring my own flowers to go on the cake, will they allow me to show them how i want it placed or will they do what they want? or is it best that i bring a photo of what i want?
bring a photo and written directions. They may charge for this- Im not sure. I think they do charge if its from an outside vendor. But Im not sure.

If i choose NOT to do flowers on the cake, do they do any type of design or use coloring on the cake where i would not have to pay extra for it?
At that meeting they will show you the cakes that are included. They have different designs and flavors.

What do the table number frames look like? will i be able to see them before the wedding?
I didn't use theirs. I hear that each matreD has his own and you wont see them.

I am thinking of doing a seating scroll in place of place cards...would they provide the easel for the scroll or do i have to supply my own?
Im don't know.

Am i even allowed to do my own place cards, menus and table numbers?
yes- I did!

Ok that's it for now. Sorry if it was too lengthy or if they're a little dumb. But these are just some of the things that came acroos my mind. I fell so lost and have NO idea what i'm doing half the time. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Patience isn't even the word. LOL. When I went there she asked me how many I needed. I told her 150. She's like 'You're sending out 150 invitations?' She was very snotty. I needed to restrain my MOH from jumping over her desk.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hello Ladies,
It has been a while since I have been on with finishing masters number 3 this summer, my engagement party, and the school year starting. I just wan to say that everyone on here is so helpful, so thankful!

Ok, a few questions first, I read that someone had a mini-vineese hour, what does that cost? When I booked they only mentioned the pastries/cookies try on each table but it does not sound like that is the same thing. Also, everytime I speak to Annemarie I mean to get her email address, anyone have it?? Where was/will your placecard table (be) set up?

Ok, some info in case it helps anyone:

Dave is very hard to contact so I have been speaking to Annemarie a lot and she is the best!! She sent me my direction cards and said she could send me the placecards too, but I am using my own. So, you can ask and then not have to go there to get them.

Annemarie sent me pics of the cake choices because I was freaking about the cake. She also sent me a list of the flavors and fillings. I went to Erga and they threw together a sample for us which was so yummy! We figure if it si yummy as thrown together it must be good when they actually take care to make a whole cake! We tasted chocolate cake with white mousee filling and cannolli cream with chocolate chips. My fiance likes the cannolli, but I think the flavor is too strong for my own liking. We both LOVE the white choclate mousse so we may do both fillings or just that. They also looked at the cake pic I brought-square layers with ribbon around each. They gave me a sample of the type of ribbon to get and the layer sizes too.

I also asked Annemarie about substituting beers since they pprovide Budweiser, Bud Light, and Heniken. If you do not like these beers be sure to ask about this ahead of time and if it will cost anything to you. I only thought about it because of posts I saw on here, so thanks again ladies!! I also asked about shots and was told they will not serve them but if the groom or I bring someone to the bar or let the Maitred know then they'll make some exceptions. I told her I would like the girls to have buttery nipples and could they get them as drink size instead, she said if they have the ingredients then yes so we are going to talk about it again as we get closer.

Does Annmarie have an email address? Because I know Dave Gerin does not which I find a little weird but that's ok.
