Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Menu's are finalized usually about 1 month before the wedding.CH room usually they decorate with flowers & candle votives.
usually if minimums are not met they beging to throw in things for you.
I believe that early arrivals will be escorted to the restaurant bar for a cocktail if need be.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Unfortunately the room wasn't placed in my contract because the day that i went, i went with my girlfriend just to check it out and get some quotes. I met with Dave Gerin. I ended up loving it so much and he gave me such a great price that i took FI back the next day to book it. The only thing was, Dave was not in so we met with Frank and he did the contract on behalf of Dave. I wasn't didn't think to ask about the room until i came on here and started seeing other brides post about it.I am having about 80 people. I have the Winter Garden for the main reception.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
After looking at my menu that was given to me when I booked, i noticed that under the Entree, Dave wrote Fox Hunt Cluch for one of the chicken choices. Has anyone had it and what is it served with?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Here goes my attempt to help you answer any questions you have! Ill answer whatever I can!!!Am i entitled to a comp room at the inn?
That should have been in your contract, you should call and ask any banquet manager that question.
When can I see the linens and chair covers?
You can see the linens and chair covers at your meeting to finalize the menu... which is about a month before your wedding date.
Can i see a sample of the menus, place cards and direction cards?(considering doing my own)
You can probably ask when you call to ask about the room if you can pick up a sample menu, place cards, and direction cards to see...
Are votive and floating candles ok to use in my centerpieces?
yes for any candles...
Can we do a buffet table and how and when is it set up?
No idea.. what would you be using it for? I know people have used it before for candy bars...
How much in advance can we go set things up? and How early can the dj set up?
The Fox Hollow deals with this, you have nothing to worry about.
Who are the main people to tip? How much?
Maitre D, Bridal Attendant.. thats all i remember, dontk now how much but they will tell you at your final meeting
How are the final payments broken up and when do we pay?
that is based on your contract... look at the dates and the amounts..
What is on the table for the CH? Any decorations?
They had little flowers in a vase... we didnt do anything more
How soon do we finalize the menu?
you will get a letter from them to do this
What happens if i do not meet my minimum?
They will try and work with you....
Will there be a bathroom attendent?
Yes. there is a br attendant
Will valet and bathroom attendent be included in service charge?
All of these are included in your contract.
Will I be provided with a floor plan of the WG to assist in seating?
Yes you will get a floor plan at your menu finalizing meeting
If my guests arrive early, how will they be accomodated?
They let my guests into the coctail hour early... since your ceremony is there, same thing...
Will i have a bridal attendent and how long will she be with me?
Bridal attendant is yours all day
If i bring my own flowers to go on the cake, will they allow me to show them how i want it placed or will they do what they want? or is it best that i bring a photo of what i want?
I brought a pic of the cake i wanted, they made it exactly like my cake..
If i choose NOT to do flowers on the cake, do they do any type of design or use coloring on the cake where i would not have to pay extra for it?
look above..
What do the table number frames look like? will i be able to see them before the wedding?
Frames are gold 5x7 frames
I am thinking of doing a seating scroll in place of place cards...would they provide the easel for the scroll or do i have to supply my own?
they asked me if I needed an easel for my engagement photos so I am sure they have one...
Am i even allowed to do my own place cards, menus and table numbers?
yes, yes, and yes...
you dont need to worry about a lot of these things until your meeting a month before your wedding... good luck! hope i helped a bit!

Ok this is long so brace youself and please bear with me. Here are all of my questions that i need answers to. I hope some of you can help me. Some questions may be repeats but i am just copying what i have written down. Here we go...
Am i entitled to a comp room at the inn? - You should probably ask for one given that you're off-season.
Do they supply music for the ceremony?
When can I see the linens and chair covers? At your final meeting a couple of months before you can see and pick all of this. You might also be able to stop by and see the collection if you are trying to decide on centerpieces
Can i see a sample of the menus, place cards and direction cards?(considering doing my own)
You can get the direction cards from Joan (my favorite) at the front desk. You can see the menus eariler on the thread and the place cards very early on in the thread (somewhere in the 30s)
Are votive and floating candles ok to use in my centerpieces?
Can we do a buffet table and how and when is it set up?
How much in advance can we go set things up?
How early can the dj set up?
If i get a room at the inn, how early do they allow you to check in? - This depends on how booked they are. They couldn't let me know for sure until the weekend before, but I was able to get in at a little before noon. It might be a little more of an issue given that it's Valentine's Day right before your wedding
Who are the main people to tip? How much?
The maitre'd and the bridal attendant. I think that it was $2-4 per person for the MD and $50-100 for the bridal attendant.
How are the final payments broken up and when do we pay?
Final payment is due with the final count and in cash or bank check. They should have given you a breakdown of your pther payments when you booked.
Can we take pics in the WG before the ceremony?
Depends on if there is another wedding. It was being used for a cocktail hour before our wedding, so we couldn't. Probably less of an issue for a daytime wedding.
What is on the table for the CH? Any decorations?
How soon do we finalize the menu?
At your meeting a couple of months before
What happens if i do not meet my minimum?
Will there be a bathroom attendent?
Will valet and bathroom attendent be included in service charge?
These were included. At least FH didn't tell me that I had to tip them
Will I be provided with a floor plan of the WG to assist in seating?
Yup, it's in your final package that you get at the final meeting.
If my guests arrive early, how will they be accomodated?
Our were sent to the bar.
Will i have a bridal attendent and how long will she be with me?
Cindy came over to the Inn at about 3, 4 hours before the ceremony. She brought us food and we LOVED her.
If i bring my own flowers to go on the cake, will they allow me to show them how i want it placed or will they do what they want? or is it best that i bring a photo of what i want?
If i choose NOT to do flowers on the cake, do they do any type of design or use coloring on the cake where i would not have to pay extra for it?
What do the table number frames look like? will i be able to see them before the wedding?
It seems as each room has their own set. I think that for the WGP for my wedding they were silver and fine.
I am thinking of doing a seating scroll in place of place cards...would they provide the easel for the scroll or do i have to supply my own?
Am i even allowed to do my own place cards, menus and table numbers?
You are more than welcome to do your own.
Ok that's it for now. Sorry if it was too lengthy or if they're a little dumb. But these are just some of the things that came acroos my mind. I fell so lost and have NO idea what i'm doing half the time. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Thank you guys.Just to reply to some of your replies:
The only thing in regard to payments that was in my contract was the inital deposit of $1k and another payment of $1k was do a month after (Sept. 1). I remember him (Frank) saying te balance would be due right before the wedding but i was just curious to know how they broke it up. I only ask because there was a post on this thread and it said something to the effect of FH seperated the remaining balance.Ex.$xxx is what is owed for the taxes,$xxx is the service charge and $xxx is the pp. So i didn't know if they break it up for you to pay it in installments like that or if they're just basically giving you an invoice showing what you paid for each? Does that make any sense?
As far as the room, I really had NO idea that they would comp a room. I sae the inn and Dave touched on it briefly but at no time did Dave or Frank say i can have one complimentary. It wasn't until I found this board that i knew it was possible. Do i need to ask Dave since he was the one i booked with or can any of the BM help me. Dave is so hard to get in touch with. Or should I ask Frank?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
For you ladies who had a Sunday wedding that ended at 5, where did you go for an after party? AnnMarie said the bar is not open on Sunday and I don't know that I really want a whole bunch of people in our room at the Inn.- might get a bit too crowded. Any ideas???

That is one of my questions too!! My wedding ends at five.
Another question is --- how early can we get to the FH the day of. I will be staying at the Inn - and plan to start taking pics at around 9am - will they let us bring our stuff into the Bridal Suite that early?

I just got my letter to finalize menu linens and cake! I had a little panic attack. Should I wait another month to go in and do it or sooner?
