Any of your girls ever hear of the fox hollow charging a $2000 surcharge when you call in your final number??????
one of the brides on the 08 board just said that her sister called in her final number and they told her that there would be a $2000 surcharge. I was![]()

.
Please let me know what you know girls!
Could it be possible they said service charge (that's what they call the gratuity)? Maybe over the phone she heard the wrong thing. We did not pay any surcharge.
Just spoke to AnnMarie via email. It's a service charge / tax ... the sister of this 08 bride must have heard 'surcharge.' I should know better than listen to hearsay!!!!!![]()
so does that mean the tax that they charge on top of what they quote you per person? because for example- i made the BM do it all out for me to figure out exactly what i have to pay them the day of if i had just my minimum including tax and all so would that just mean the tax is due? yikesss im getting nervous!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
they told me it was the price per person, then the 20% service charge, then the tax. So when I am doing my budget, i figured it out and used that number

same here.
say we were quoted 100 a head. the service charge is 20% so that makes it 120. Now all of that is taxable. So yes you are paying tax on the service charge as well.

So I go through this every now and again...I am having doubts about my room!!! The Briar Fox...
My sister went to a wedding there and said it was over crowded. She said she couldn't see more than 125 in that room.
I just looked at pictures from one photographer and the ceiling is SO low it looks funny in all the pictures.
I just feel that I might have made the wrong choice....I don't want to feel that I'm in a dark basement....
What do you guys think? Thanks..![]()
We told them that our guest list is at 185 right now...I am nervous it might grow!
I had the same exact issue!!! I think the GT is much nicer but I have to stick to no more than 180 for budget purposes. I went back with my FH about two weeks ago to see the room again, and I am confident that I made the right decision. Everytime I go back, I love it more and more. My BM did tell me this.....170 comfortably with a Dj but don't go over 160 with a band....we are having a band so I am a little concerned.
Don't worry it will be fine, there are so many girls on here that calmed my nerves as well.

Did you talk to your BM about possibly switching to the Garden Terrace room or did they up the guarantee to an insane number? Maybe you could bargain w/ them w/ regards to the guarantee?

I originally had some of the same concerns. but my wedding was amazing and the room was gorgeous, sooo many guests commented on how elegant and intimate it was.
I had more than 125 at my wedding, and it was no where near crowded, I would actually think 125 would feel slightly empty. We had about 140, invited 180 and it was pretty much perfect, def. could have fit more.
You definitly WILL NOT feel like you are in a dark basement, not even close. Maybe it was that girls photographer because my pictures did not look funny at all, the room length chandellier looks awesome.
Honestly, the room is gorgeous, it definitly is not your traditional ballroom, but you knew that going in. Try not to stress, go back and visit and check it out again, it will be perfect!

Thanks girls...I don't want the GT room because I think the dance floor is way too big, but that is just my opinion. I'm not a fan of long dance floors.I have to go back and see it again, but thanks for your help!

It's just the way they break it down during the final payment. the installments I guess are JUST some of the pp charges and then at the final payment they break down the difference, you know what i mean?
we are paying $79pp + 20%, +tax. So it comes to $102.98 I think. All along we've been figuring it out based on the 102 number. so when you call in your number, they give you a final amount due and break that down for you I think - $XXXX is the remainder of the pp charge, $XXX is the service fee and $XXX is the tax.

Absolutely when we made our spreadsheet we factored in the price +tax+grats & then made payments accordingly. So it wont be a suprise at all when they give us a final payment. I already know what it is! Its the accountant in me! lol But also with every payment we make we always try to add on another thousand or so. That way at the end my balance isnt to bad.

Hello everyoneI still have over a year and a half before my wedding so i haven't focused on it in a while. But I should probably get my butt in gear. For those of you who have had Rev. Nick, how long in advance did you book him? Did you go through the Perfect Wedding Planner at the Fox Hollow? When should I expect to have to pay him?
Thanks for the info.

i think that we booked Rev Nick a little over 3 months out 9but I got married in the off-season). You pay Fox Hollow his $350 fee and they pay him directly. You can check your contract to see if this fee was included or left as a question mark (if you weren't sure that you were using his services when you booked). My DH and I never met with him in person, but talked over the phone twice before the wedding. He did a nice mellow ceremony that was exactly what we were looking for.

For those of you that were (or will be) in the WGP, if you had 12 tables did they leave table 11 near the love dais like in the diagram? Did table 12 remain near the dance floor? And was the place for table 13 vacant? I emailed AnneMarie, but was hoping you guys might be able to provide some insight. TIA!

If you only have 12 tables, i believe they move tables 11 and 12 so that they are more spread out.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I ended up with 11 tables. On the diagram, I just crossed off the ones that I didn't want. They spread out the tables a little bit. I think that if you do 2 outside rows of 5 and the middle row of 2, the 'bump in' the tables a little bit, so that it's not such a straight row. I saw the room set up like that and it looked nice and not too tight.
