Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Are any of you having seat covers without ribbons? The seat covers are included in our contract but not the ribbons. It didn't hit me then because I had just come from a horrible makeup trial and was feeling self conscious, but isn't that ridiculous?? They want me to pay $3 per person. How do you have seat covers without ribbons???Should I go back there and make a big stink of it?

We are in the same boat. The covers were included in my contract but not the sashes and I had no idea until my meeting with Ann Marie. I don't understand how they will give you covers without the sashes. i thought they went hand in hand...silly me
But in any event, i am not spending $3pp on sashes. I hope they look good without it because if not the oh well. I'll see the room before the reception starts anyways so if i really don't like the way the covers look without the sashes, I may just have them remove the covers all together.

Does anyone know how elaborate fox hollow lets you get with the cake if you want to make some changes? also- if you have to pay extra does anyone know about how much... i want something like the picture below. i was supposed to go to my meeting last night to pick cake/linens but had to cancel last minute and so now it's postponed for the 29th. if any married girls or ones who have already had their final meetings know and can give me some pointers, i'd appreciate it!
The cakes are very simple white frosted cake. Something like that picture would cost you a lot extra. Extra for fondant, extra for colors, extra for decorations. I know you can make MINOR changes, but basically they are just white cakes with very, very simple details.
My Maitre' D put the flowers on, I didn't order any flowers, but when I got there she asked if I wanted some.
i had my meeting monday morning - yours is the cake i went with... they are plain - but like my FH said 'it's JUSt a cake' ... my florist is supplying flowers to garnish the cake, so im sure the maitre'D will fix it up -- I love all the fancy cakes but its not something we want to spend our money on.
I sent AnneMarie a picture of the cakei want after having the meeting i wasnt in love with any of teh cakes. I saw one that was close to what i want so if i cant get what i wantthen ill go with the closer one. I will let you all know what happens.

for girls using or have had the briar fox for their reception room, how many people did u have or plan to have?
We were told the max is 180 and with the fact that our parents keep saying 'opps.. we forgot so and so..' we are looking at very close to that.
Ideally, if we invite only who we want, without the parents say, we are aiming for 160-165.
do u know how many people b4 the change to the oval tables?
anything over 140 you have to have oval tables....i am using the PWP Florist and he suggested that no matter how many people, use the oval tables, its better to move around.
oh wow okay! thanks!
We had I think 145, including us, and we had round tables with no problem, but we couldn't have had anymore people with the round tables.

I really didn't like any of their cakes and ended up going with an outside vendor for the cake (cakes by mona). I wantsomething with more detail and don't trust their bakery to execute it. I didn't want to be worried about what my cake was going to look like. i was allowed to add another station during cocktail hour since I won't be using their cake.

that would be another option for me... when i go for my meeting, i'll decide- i didn't know that they would let you add something else instead- so that's good to know!

I need the covers because the chairs in the WGP are not in good condition. I would've never thought that chair covers wouldn't automatically include the ribbon. I'm so mad

Honestly -- I just got married in the WGP and the seats are in great condition - beautiful gold backs, green cushions if I remember correctly -- they are really nice. I don't think they need seat covers ... just my opinion -- maybe you could save the $$?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Hi Ladies.I know you've probably all heard this tons of times, as did I, but we went to the Fox Hollow for our engagement anniversary dinner last night and the service was good the food was amazing and the place was PACKED!! Mostly with Xmas get-togethers it seemed. I thanked my FH that we booked over 2 weeks ago.
I say the service was good only because we were kinda forgotten in the beginning; probably due to the number of people there, and my medium cooked meat was on my FH's plate and his rare on mine.. but that was an easy fix for the two of us
Otherwise the people who work there are wonderful! You can probably hear how wonderful this place is tons of times but not appreciate it until you actually go.
Also, we had a coupon for free bottle of wine (that came when we paid the 1st payment), the server told us to keep it for another time and he still didn't charge us for the bottle we got. Too bad I think it expires the end of the month.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
On the Fox Hollow website, I found a link that leads to the Perfect Wedding Planner information as well as the 'Perfect Party Planner' does anyone know the difference? From reading the site it looks like thoes 'free' services are with the Party Planner one.Does anyone have any information on the difference between the two?
Thanks

This is just my opinion but if you getting married in WGP I don't think you need the chair covers HOWEVER if your getting married in BF or GT then I think you need them. As for the ribbon, again just my opinion but I think it looks dumb without the sash. I just think it adds something and completes the look. From what I heard, a lot of girls hire someone else to do the sashes for cheaper. And I have never heard of Fox Hollow including the sashes, its just a way of them getting more money from you.

Has anyone used the Briar Fox , chair covers and NO sash --- I am in the Briar Fox - we have chair covers included but im not in the position to spend more $$ on sashes.... do they really look that bad without sashes? Maybe its just me, but i rarely notice what the chairs look like when i am at a wedding.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
The chairs in the Briarfox are burgandy, no? Don't quote me, best to ask the Fox Hollow. If that color will clash with your decor then yes, use the covers. Chairs with covers only look fine. In my history of attending formal events, I've only noticed chairs that were plain hideous- dirty, tacky, clashing or were extraodrinary- organza sashes or something.
Anything in the middle looks lovely.
