Thanks! The cake was soooo beautiful - decorated by my florist - and it was carrot cake --- sooooooo good. I should have gotten another piece at the wedding, it was unbelievable.

Jen,Everything looks beautiful and you look gorgeous! Your cake is similar to what I want. Did you suppliy the ribbon? Was it a special type? When I went to Erga the ribbon they told me to get was cheap ribbon used to wrap gifts and I hate the look of it! I would love some advice on what to get since yours had the look I am going for.
Thanks!

Hey Ladies!!! I posted my review of FH! I had a fabulous wedding! Our cake was delicious!! Our guests cant stop raving about the food and the friendly staff. The worst thing we heard was the coffee was weak! lmaooo.my cocktail hour was in the briar fox.
garden terrace was my reception room! PWP did our centerpieces and Egna did our cake.

I think that all depends on what you need for your day. Do u really need a DOC?? Yes its wonderful they are very helpful but do you have a person who can takeon this type of role for you the day of already? Also, if you find PWP too expensive then start checking around. There are many DOC's that do not costa s much as them.
For me personally i have 2 sisters that have gone through this wedding process & so they will have all of this covered. I dont need a seperate DOC.

I agree, I shopped around for a DOC b/c I thought they were too expensive but I have heard wonderful things about them. I booked Eliana from By Your Side Events, she is such a sweetheart and has given me so many suggestions that I didn't even think of. If your thinking of hiring a DOC, definitely check her out. YOu can FM me for more info if you want.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Question for those who are already married or who is getting married very very soon. I am in the process of starting to do the seating arrangement and on the list that they gave me to list everyone in alphabetical order, do i have to list each person alphabetically even if they are married? Meaning do i have to say: John Doe and then list Jane Doe seperately or can I just put Mr. and Mrs. Doe? Also when doing the place cards, they also said it has to be in alphabetical order so do i have to do the place cards the same way as i asked above?

I would guess that it should be Mr & Mrs whatever & then if you have family who ar enot married & bringing a date you would list the person (you know) and then next to it is the dates name. It would be alphabetical by the person you know. Im waiting for my RSVP date to expire & then im beginning this.

Genine - Thanks for the compliments! I didn't provide the ribbon - my florist did (my fave vendor, LA Blossom). I asked her about ribbon and she said she would take care of it. I think it was just brown satin. She charged me $75 I think to decorate it, whereas the fox hollow wanted $100 - I trusted her more and it was cheaper so I asked her to do it. Ask your florist, they probably do them all the time!

I highly recommend having a DOC. It took so much stress off of my mother and MOH to not have to worry about anything. They took care of every detail. I used PWP Angela and Liz. They were AWESOME!! I know they are more expensive than some others so if the price is too high...i would shop around.
