i know someone must've asked this before, but do all my vendors have to be insured? like if i hired a freelance video guy, he's probably not going to have one of those umbrella insurance polices i'm assuming...should i be only looking into vendors with insurance?
All vendors must be insured for a certain amount (we were told this by PWP at a tea party) - for this reason we didn't use one of FH's friends as a DJ -its just less of a headache to go with a reputable company that you KNOW is fully insured...
just want to add..i dont remember for how much they need to be insured, but you can call PWP and ask them or ask your BM.
Even florists? What if I have a friend of the family do the centerpieces/boks? Is there anything a Florist can be responsible for that they would need insurance?
Also, I know for cakes from outside we have to provide some sort of health documentation.

Fox Hollow requires a $1MM policy.
Sorry, but what does this mean?

it means your vendors have to have insurance worth $1million minimum.

This qs is for past winter garden pavilion brides. I am currently doing my seating arrangements and it looks like I will have some tables of 12 or 13. Is this ridiculous? Will guests be super cramped? Also, did you find the dance floor big enough? I will have around 120 guests

I'm doing the seating arrangement for the Garden Terrace, now, most of my tables will have 10 to 12 people which I am perfectly happy with. But I have some tables with like 8 or 9 people. Will this look rediculous? Or should I try to put these people at other tables?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Ladies-I am the worst bride ever! I am getting married July 10, 2009 and I am only now ordering my dress (which I love!), confirmed my photographer (PhotoVideo Network), finalizing my florist (Burtons) and finalizing our honeymoon (Turks and Caicos). Now I need a DJ.
Anywhoo, any ideas on DJ's? We are looking for ceremony music (I heard FH has a musical loop), cocktail hour music (Old school R&B) and Reception (R&B and Hip Hop). We also need a mic for our ceremony. Any suggestions?
Also, has anyone heard of PhotoVideo Network? My FH took the lead on them but I cant find any real reviews on them. The website looks good so its promising.
One last thing, I am getting married at 7p and dont want to see my guy before the ceremony. We are thinking that we will get there early, take pics separately before the ceremony so the bridal party pics are done and then do pics during the cocktail hour. What do you think? I dont think we will be able to do the receiving line which makes me a little sad, but I cant see any way around it.
Let me know what you think. Thanks.

P.S. Ok, this is really it, do you think FH will let me use candles to line the aisle?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
try some recommended vendors of fh....i met with all of them and body rock was my favorite. bravura has rave reviews, just a little pricey for a dj. fm entertainment gets rave reviews on here as well.never heard of the photographer though...check out bbb to make sure there are no complaints

For the type of music you are looking for, I would HIGHLY suggest Feel the Vibe Entertainment! I haven't booked anyone yet but they really have great energy and would know what to play to keep the party jumpin'. I am searching for a DJ that can play all you named in addition to Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia ect....they are one of the final two. The other is Elegancia Entertainment.
GOOD LUCK!

Thanks so much. Does Feel the Vibe Entertainment have a website? I will keep my eyes open if I come across a dj that has the music you mentioned.

No i think it will look fine with 8 or 9 at a table. I too may have a table or 2 of 8/9 but most of all my tables will be 10/12 tables

I too will be making bags for everyone who stays. Since the Fox hollow doesn't let you put names on the bags and they give them out when guests check in (they don't put them in rooms), I think that all guests who check in will get a bag you made. They won't distinguish between out of town and local guests.
