How to plan a Themed Wedding
The real trick to planning a theme wedding is to not do an overkill of the theme. For instance we had a Batman themed wedding last month. They had the same set up as the traditional wedding just with some very clever & creative twists. They did DIY place cards featuring an assortment of superheroes symbols. There tables were named instead of numbers (ex: The Batcave, Wayne Manor, The Penguins Lair, Gotham City Police Dept. etc). They did a Batman & Bride cake topper along with carrying the theme through to the favors (which were a champagne bottle and on the ribbon was a Batman emblem & cupcakes individually wrapped with superheroes & super villans on them). They were fully able to do the Batman theme throughout the wedding without it appearing to be too much or too childish. It was the perfect balance of class with the whimsy of fun. To top it off the groom had a tee shirt under his tuxedo that was Batman's costume hidden under a tuxedo shirt. He waited until the very end of the evening for Batman to make his debut & when he did his groomsman followed suit all clad in tee shirts of their secret identity superhero. Needless to say the superheroes not only saved the day but made it even more memorable. So remember if you want to do a themed wedding don't go overboard but make sure you have FUN with it.
