It's National Marriage Week!
Feb 07, 2013 11:44 AM Back
So Feb 7th to Feb 14th is National Marriage week – what do you have planned?
What a better way to celebrate marriage then a whole week! You don't have to get crazy and break the bank but wouldn't it be nice to celebrate with your spouse.
Talk to your partner and let him/her know that you want to celebrate being married, not because it is your anniversary but just because you are married! Ask him/her what they want to do, and come up with some ideas together.
Stumped? Here are some ideas:
- How about doing something to help your spouse without him or her asking? Helping with the laundry, taking the garbage out, etc. Your partner will appreciate these little random acts more than you know.
- Can you say weekend getaway? You don't even have to take an airplane to get to your destination. Sneak off to a nearby hotel – where you are still ‘away'. Relax, have some room service, and just enjoy each other!
- What about a weekend at home where it is just the two of you? A weekend where there is no cooking, cleaning, no technology. Just the two of you spending quality time together with no interruptions.
- How about date night where you plan everything? Go to a romantic restaurant, or a place that is special to the both of you?
The important thing is spending quality time with each other. Remember it is not about what you are doing but that you are together, making your relationship a priority!
Have fun and enjoy your partner!
