Fall is almost here!
So it was another great weekend! My brides were radiant , my grooms handsome and everyone was granted a break in the weather, so although it was a little chilly, outdoor ceremonies were the order of the day!
Many like to have their guests toss rose petals, so they are raining down on them in that picture where they kiss half way down the aisle on the exit. With fall fast approaching and the trees about to turn one of my couples gave their guests beautiful red, gold and orange leaves with a hint of sparkle in them. A simple twist that was right in line with their fall theme.
My last ceremony on Sunday began at 6:30 and although they wanted it 'short but sweet' and chose a 15 minute ceremony, it was actually dark out as we finished.
Saturday evening the surprise wasn't the sun setting, but the visitor it inspired. The ceremony was by the water and there were a few cats in the area. The videographer had positioned herself in the bushes behind the gazebo. Hearing a rustling and something brushing against her, she ignored it thinking it was just a kitty...... a few moments later she looks over and sitting there looking up at her is a raccoon! It was all the poor girl could do not to scream, but she kept her composure, got her shots.... and looked like she was going to pass out when the ceremony was over. Needless to say the raccoon didn't get an invite to CH and the videographer got a big gold star in my book of professional conduct!
Congraulations to not only my couples but to all of you newly weds! And to next weekend's couples... It's almost your turn!
