Happy Halloween Weddings!

Friday was Halloween a great day for Goth and Medieval lovers to tie the knot!
The Photo is myself and Chris from 'As You Wish' Photography, http://www.asyouwishphotography.net
dressed appropriately for such events.
My first couple was filmed by Chanel 12 and will be on Long Island Love Stories. When you think of a black veil, vows written on parchment in red ink, and a flower girl tossing red rose petals from a cauldron, it tends to be a bit overwhelming to the senses. But then when the content of the ceremony speaks to the core of what every human hopes to find in a partner and expresses an unselfish desire to love one another as they each are forever.... it all blends into the background and shows that no matter how different people may appear that hearts are the same the world over.
The next wedding was a mix of costume and Medieval. She looked like a Disney princess i a light blue dress and he a Druid Wizard in a black hooded cloak. Swords and Chalices were used during the ring exchange. The Maid of Honor was a Greek Goddess and the best man sported a Rabbit costume ! Talk about a great fertility symbol!
My last stop of the day was another Handfasting that I was a guest at. The Bride had the traditional conical hat and 'Elvira Mistress of the Dark' dress but in white. ( It looked awesome) and the Groom replicated the look of Gary Oldman in Brahm Stoker's Dracula.
What kind of vows did they do you may ask...
'All that I am, All that I do.
All that I shall dream shall be ours together.
I take you as my wife, my friend, my lover
From this day forth
And into the fullness of time
Where we shall meet and remember
And Love again.'
Halloween is a day that is often chosen by couples who believe that not even death has the power to separate them.
