Motivating Your Mister: Getting HIM Excited About The Wedding Planning Process

Ah, the “magic” of it all. There’s just something about planning a wedding or a party for that matter, especially if, like me, you’re the quintessential girl.
But, if you’re a guy…not so much. The fun part starts after the “I Dos” and on the honeymoon. Still, today’s ladies want a well-informed groom (to be) and one that is ready, willing and able to get his hands dirty with some down and dirty wedding planning.
But, when it comes to wedding planning tasks there are some more suited to your suitor than others. Here are a few guy items that he’ll be more than happy to take charge of.
Sex on The Beach: No, not the club drink from back in the day….but rather the “real deal” on the sands and shores of your exotic post nuptial getaway. Most men are more than happy to get their feet wet when it comes to sweeping you off yours at the ideal hot spot to help heat things up as you escape to your dream destination for some fun in the sun.
Toast Of The Town: Let him plan out the drink list, especially when it comes to signature drinks and specialty cocktail stations. He’ll also want to have a say in the eats. Remember, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so when it comes to planning out your menu…let him have at it.
Guest Of Honor: Let him take charge of the guest list. Women, we have a tendency to want to invite everyone we’ve ever met since kindergarten…but, men, especially if they are helping pay for it all take a more pragmatic approach. Let him outline and organize his vision and YOU can help refine it, if need be, in due time.
Dressed For Success: When it comes to his appearance… you should know he really does give a tux. And, he’s going to want a say in how he and his posse look on the big day. Tell him your vision and give him carte blanche to make it happen…you just may be pleasantly surprised by him AND the guys.
Music To His Ears: Let him entertain you and your guests. Give him full reign of the entertainment and let him plan out the “party” portion of your main even while you focus on the more “intricate” details. Remember, your man prides himself of being both a “party animal” and “the life of the party”…so let him get his groove on by showing you some of his finest party planning moves when it comes to choosing the entertainment.
Wheeling and Dealing: Besides a HOT brides, you soon to be spouse is probably looking forward to a HOT ride on your wedding day. Since most men know a thing or two about motoring….let him wheel and deal when it comes to choosing your transportation.
