Maid of Honor

Pick a Maid of Honor who wants to help you! This is the best piece of advice I can give. She is your support team and your go to girl.
Do not choose the one who wants to stand there and look good as everyone takes HER picture on your wedding day. Odds are pretty good you know this about her already, but worry that she will be offended if not chosen.... This in and of itself is reason enough not to choose her.
There is a lot of support work that goes on to keep a bride's comfort levels where they should be on their wedding day.If you have 2 wonderful friends who want to be your team YES! They can both be your Maids of Honor!
At the rehearsal yesterday, I'm doing my usual rap with the Maid of Honor 'What I do stays with them for the rest of their life but the pictures are how their great great great grandchildren are going to know them.'
She embraced this whole heartedly even before I said it. Every time my bride needed anything her Best Friend was there even before she asked. She needed no instruction on what to do... because she knew how to see and read her girl's needs.
Do you have a friend like this? The person who always has your back in the everyday world is the one you want standing behind you on your wedding day.
