Bridal Party do they sit or stand?
Yes! They sit or stand.
Really it depends on (as always) what you want them to do. With that said here are some reasons why and things to think about when deciding what's right for you.
How small is the space? If everyone stands will the photographer be able to move around and get the photos that you want?
Will it be short enough and roomy enough that everyone will be perfectly fine to stand with you. (usually it is)
Is anyone very pregnant? In the last trimester of a pregnancy, if the woman stands in the same position for too long, the weight of the baby can restrict blood flow and she is prone to passing out. So I always advise that if any of the bridesmaids are going to have a baby, to let them sit.
If your BP is huge, your guest list is huge and your ceremony location is not so huge... you may want to let them stand.
Sometimes couples say they will sit if we are outside and stand if we are inside, for room reasons. Sometimes it is the opposite so their BP can dress up the room with their fabulous smiles!
Kids? Personally I always let them sit.
Every venue is different and those who are there all the time know best so don't be affraid to ask and always remember to reserve as many seats as you need for Parents, Grandparents and so on.
Happy Planning!
