Established bussiness vs. the one man show.....
Apr 04, 2011 11:42 AM Back
So I have recently been getting questions from clients when it comes to booking some wedding vendors such as, photographers, florist, music, wedding cakes, etc.
The question has been,
'Should I go with an individual that works out of their house or a company?'
Being a established small business owner for the last ten years I have the answer to this question.
I would always suggest the established business over the home run business for the reason simple of reliability.
I know for fact that over the year's things happen in life and in business. Vendors; like clients have problems come up unexpectedly.
The initial difference between home based businesses and a established company is usually price.
It might be a bit cheaper but you are dealing with a one man show most of the time.
If something happens to the person you booked your wedding with you might not have your photographer, flowers or wedding cake on that day because something happened. I know from the last 12 years in running my business, no matter what is happening to me personally, every job has gone off perfectly as if I was there. And that comes from having a reliable, professional staff behind me.
So my suggestion to all the clients that ask this question, go with the professional company with a staff, you might be saving a bit of money at first, but is it worth the risk of not having you day go off perfectly.
