One of the most popular orchids is
the cymbidium orchid. With their exotic colorful blooms, cymbidium orchid wedding
flowers are a favorite with brides.
The 70 plus species of cymbidiums
mainly come from Asia. The generic name comes from the Greek 'kymbe'; meaning boat-shaped cup which refers to the shape of the lip.
The tremendous numbers of hybrids available provide a beautiful range
of color around the calendar.These gorgeous flowers have large heads and there are available in shades of whites,
yellows, reds,oranges,pinks and pale green.
They have robust waxy petals,which are more resistant to drying out than other flowers.This can be important if you have a handtied bridal bouquet and you are concerned that it may dry out on a hot summer's day.
