We're always interested in how the seasons change the demand for wedding flowers. This year, there are some brilliant new trends in bouquets and we really want to share them with you.
The first thing that we've noticed is that round posies, whether structured or loose, are more popular than other bouquet shapes for this winter. A huge range of colors, though, are still in vogue so feel free to pick your favourite shades without worrying about being old fashioned or too trendy. Anything goes!
However, a classic winter wedding suggests pinks and purples mixed with a delicate white. Depending upon the structure you want, you could opt for tulips, hyacinths or sweet peas. However, if you love the tradition of roses, choose a deep red or ivory and think of encircling them with a frosty shade – silver or light blue are ideal – of ribbon. It might also be fun to add ‘snowflakes' to the top of your bouquet using crystals.
Winter floral arrangements for your reception should be a grand and tall affair. To add impact, choose large single blooms in tall glass vases and consider the frost effect again by adding glitter and crystals.
