Super Storm Sandy Babies are on their way! Big bellies and beautiful smiles are everywhere these days! They say that every cloud has a silver lining and what greater blessing is there than the birth of a child?
Many of my couples are non-religious or interfaith and how to celebrate the birth of their child is something they wonder about.
The answer is simple. We celebrate with joy and reverence, with wonder and awe!
A child is a gift, a blessing and a responsibility like no other. The same way my couples create their wedding to fit as well as the dress, many of them choose to create a ceremony to fit their child.
But where do we have such a ceremony if we don't belong to a church?
There are many chapels for rent, catering halls with beautiful ceremony spaces, or why not have the ceremony right at home?
It is said that the human heart measures time by the important moments in life and our ability to share those moments with the people we love. The celebration of a child's birth is surely one of those moments!
