Meet NYC DJs at Scratch Weddings Showcase, May 18th

Building a wedding guest list is a painstaking process. You probably don't have too much choice whether to invite Uncle Morty, despite his bad breath and even worse jokes. Aside from immediate family, though, most couples exercise a great deal of discretion over precisely who gets to celebrate with you on your special day.
Which brings us to wedding DJs.
If you're not going to serve a cake to your wedding guests without first tasting it, why would you ever consider hiring a DJ to spin your reception before you meet, listen to mixes, talk about music and verify that you have the right chemistry?
That's the thought behind Scratch Weddings' New York DJ showcase and happy hour. We invite engaged couples to share a cocktail and listen to two NYC wedding Disc Jockeys with distinct styles. The events invariably spark conversations about music, dancing and wedding traditions. Perhaps most important, couples and DJs connect on a personal level and gain the confidence that they are a great fit.
"A wedding is like a great movie starring the wedded couple with a great supporting cast of friends and family," said DJ Greg Poole, whose has two decades of experience DJing globally. "I enjoy getting to know the bride and groom and creating the right soundtrack for their special day."
Greg will be joined by DJ Damian P, known for his expertise at American and Indian weddings on May 18, from 6-8 p.m., during the Scratch Weddings DJ showcase and happy hour at Audrey, 120 East 39th St., between Lexington and Park avenues. It's free to attend.
